So that Leigh chick is ranting again but for once I agree with her!

I'm not sure what to make of Moiraine and Siuan's pillow friendship because it seems both just for the humping and actually deeper at the same time.

I found it funny how others (in the comments) shared Marie's theory of Elaida having a hard on for Moiraine and hating Siuan, tho. But that's off topic. XD

It is perhaps a bit odd how easily they went from being lovers to plain friends. :\ I would have thought there would have been more of a transition period.

I agree, the NS relationship definitely feels deeper than just "I'm horny and stressed and there are no men available so I'll do my best friend". All that talk about the comfort and love between the two of them, how well they understand each other, and the unquestioning trust of each other. Even when they were shitting their shifts with fear of the Black Ajah and suspecting every sister, they never once suspected each other. They were more than just frak-buddies. (Okay, I had to google to see if that was supposed to have a c in it - I'm not a big BSG geek like certain OTHERS on this site )

Yeah, I was disappointed with how it ended. You put it well, that there was no transition period. It went from (I assume) monogamous couple to "let's kiss cute boys", with little to no - pardon me - refractory period, unless you consider the few months Moiraine spent away from Siuan to mark the end of their pillow-friendship.

But despite the problems they're still my favorite couple. I just focus on the NS relationship and pretend the irritating stuff didn't happen. I know that's rather silly, but fandom shipping is rarely sensible.

I didn't even react to the frak buddies thing because frak is now normal lingo to me. This is how I am a geek. *blush*

Though I do not now share Mo/Siuan ship they used to be my otp. I agree with many of the things said about how they were before. Twenty years is a long time, but they were acting (no, Siuan was acting, Mo acted like she was acting) like they were no more than very casual friends back in their Novice days.

It's just not how it seemed in NS unless Siuan is kind of a jerk like that. Maybe she really didn't care as much as Moiraine?

The Elaida theory belongs to Laura and Marie, if I recall. *agrees with that*

Elaida secretly yearned for Moiraine. This is true.

The primary reason I was all the first time I read about Siuan and Moiraine being pillow friends was because of how they acted towards each other in the series proper. They have such a strange relationship.
