If you want it done in HTML, try the background attribute for the body tag.
Ex:
I would personally suggest the use of CSS though.

For myspace she would have to use CSS. The thing is, is that there isn't a file you edit.
Go to Edit Profile and in the "About me" box put in:
The number will change depending on the color you want. If you want an image in the background:

On the first one, change the black font which is on a black background and is completely invisible...
