I'm talking, say, after 10PM. Do you answer them?
The other night some bitch came to my door at 10:30PM. I used the peephole and the doorchain, and found out that she was trying to collect donations for NA or some such organization. I kindly told her that I was not interested, then chided her on her choice of hour to solicit.
I'll not do that again. What reason do random people have to come knocking at your door at such an untimely hour? What do y'all think? Poll added.

Well, I'd probably look to see who it is through the magic-eye or the security door/chain, but not usually open the door. If it was anyone collecting at that hour, I think a call to the residents' welfare association president and then the cops would be in order ;-)

No. I don't trust people who do that at night. And anyway I'm not always home, either walking in the dark or already asleep. They don't have any business doing that at that time.
