The heat trick is actually not difficult at all. You have to be good at meditation and square breathing.
:( Square breathing? I tried but I couldn't figure out the shape of my breathing....

*is silly today*

Olivia2 and Travis - :( and that happens to me too, when I'm in a cool room after trying it. It doesn't work quite the same as in the books or I'm probably not good at it enough! Maybe this is the real way that RJ meant?

Jan - Square breathing is just diaphragm breathing where you inhale, hold your breath, exhale, and hold it again for the same amount of time for each step.

Also, Michael Jackson died. Farrah Fawcett too. :D

yea just saw that about MJ and FF. death waits for no one. :D

that monk thing is crazy style kaitlini! i guess that's the epitome of what they call mind-over-body.

you know i can never do all this breathing stuff. you're supposed to do some special breathing when you're in labor when you're pushing, or something very similar. my midwife was trying to get me to do it last time and i did nothing short of a very poor job. personally, i found it helped to scream a little. ;P hm, screaming vs. breathing...i wonder if its a personality thing, like how i'd rather do tae bo than yoga... well nonetheless, hats off to you if you can do it! :(

Sorry to hear about your dad Kaitlin I hope he makes a swift recovery!
And sorry to hear about your loss of your Grandpa Marie! :D
And your loss of your dad as well Liv!!!

I just found out a few days ago that my Grandpa has prostate cancer, stage 2? Not too bad. But...he'll more than likely have to go in for surgery to remove it. =

Fuuka Gakuen is from my favorite anime. I live in a Southern California suburb, about an hour from the beach and an hour from LA.
Mai-Hime! I've thought about watching that, but not enough time right now.
I live about 3 hours from LA.

Fear not, my fellow Moiraine's Worlders who are, like me, unable to find dates. I have obtained a sizable plastic container of them (already pitted!) and have plenty left to share. *passes out nice sweet dates to everyone* :(

Thank you! o_O. Where I live there's quite a lot of Date's here too. There's a place that I've seen while driving that says "Date Shakes" always meant to drop by there and try it.

Oh I heard about both. There was 1-2 other Celebs that died too this week. "but Ed McMahon, the announcer on Carson's "Tonight Show" and the host for "Star Search" died two days ago. Also, David Carridine died like three weeks ago...he was the star of the show "Kung Fu" and also played important roles like Bill on "Kill Bill." "

Ash, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa! Will he be having chemo/radiation treatments after? Stage 2, if you're going to have prostate cancer, is a good point to have it so they say. :( My dad had that a few years ago and the sugery itself is not difficult. The recovery time can be pretty uncomfortable though, so the nurses recommended not watching too many funny movies to keep from laughing too hard (no sexy ones I expect...!).

So many celebrities are dying. I did hear about David Carridine but not too much about Ed McMahon. :D

I feel bad about Michael's kids.

Ash, I'm also sorry to hear about your GF. Cancer is becoming so common nowadays *sighs* Gaidin 17s cousin in his 20s also had prostate cancer in a later stage but thankfully after all the treatments its in remission now.
