this is easily the weirdest WoT conversation I've ever come across. Characters often think of themselves as I in the series. It's just done in italics.

But let's go with the better conversation. Does she know how bad ass she is? I'm pretty sure she does, but she doesn't rub it in. It's just a fact, she doesn't need to strut.

i think marie mentioned that? that is was more because she saw a quote out of context in the middle of the night, possibly drunk, that sparked this convo with kate. if you stay around long enough (or just read two more threads ) you'll quickly see marie/kate tend to post weird stuff late at night. they are a bad influence on each other.

We're a small group and a bit isolated from the rest of the WoT community (I know I'm not the only one here who avoids dragonmount if I can help it) and after in some cases seven years of discussing Moiraine here, I think we've reached the end of our rope. Combine that with a wrapped sense of hunor and you get...well, Moiraine's World.

But yes of course you see plenty of internal monologue in the series it is just this one night a specific quote got me wondering if Moiraine is aware of how awesome she is, a bit like how Cadsuane is acutely aware of her own legend.

Then she'd need a secret identity other than her Moiraine self. Maybe she is Siuan when she isn't out saving people as Moiraine. Or maybe she's Thom and a narcissist plotting to marrying herself and having her own babies.

Well, I have my Moiraine-obsessed moments that aren't safe on other forums. For example, the theme song topic is something I've thought about a lot. The only thing I don't like about here so far is you guys don't like Thom. He is clearly awesome and they are perfect for each other and there was enough foreshadowing, so there. Hmph.
