An interesting thread. I, too, love the White Tower and find it's happenings very interesting. For that reason I have thought very hard on what will happen in the final book and here are the events I think will most likely happen.

Before I start, here's something you haven't at least mentioned in this thread: Elaida's Foretelling in the Prologue of aCoS. Straight quote: "The White Tower will be whole again, except for remnants cast out and scorned, whole and stronger than ever. Rand al'Thor will face the Amyrlin Seat and know her anger. The Black Tower will be rent in blood and fire, and sisters will walk its grounds. This I Foretell."

What I gather from that, White Tower will be whole to face the Last Battle. Egwene will be the Amyrlin most likely, since so far she has clearly got more power while Elaida is losing the little she has left. That will also subsequently add the rebellion, and make the White Tower whole.

Seaine's and her companions will uncover the whole Black Ajah one way or another, most likely by catching Alviarin and getting the truth out of her. The "remnants cast out and scorned" will be the Black Ajah. Red Ajah won't be cast out and scorned, since they are already adopting their new ideals.

What may also be meant with "whole and stronger than ever" is that the Kinswomen will move to Tar Valon, and be living in the palace Elaida has been building. Egwene could be angry with Rand because she thinks Rand has Compulsed the sisters.

The rest of the Foretelling isn't exactly White Tower, but what is meant is that Taim and his followers must be destroyed, possibly by the right-minded Asha'man and some Aes Sedai; thus, "sisters will walk its ground".

Because in aCoS, that part is written from Elaida's point of view, I find it very trustworthy and don't think the Foretelling was faked, for whatever little that could accomplish, and I believe many of those will happen. But hopefully it won't go exactly as I described; RJ, surprise us! :P

Yep, all of this is possible. Egwene will be amyrlin, she will come to know of bonding sisters against their will by the ashaman and the swearing of fealties and take rand to task about it. The kin will get to be a part of the tower, along with the sail mistresses' and the wise-ones' appentices. It may come to be that they will require to take some basic training in the tower before they return to their chosen professions.

I don't think the kin will get to stay in the new tower being constructed. Also those exposed as black will probably be not turned away. They will probably be bound in such a way that they cannot aid the dark side in any way. Egwene intends to make the white tower whole again, gather every channeling woman available.

Actually any thoughts as to how Egwene might become the new amyrlin ? Beonin went to the white tower at the beginning of KOD with an intention of meeting Elaida. What her actual intentions were, are not known. But she may mean to assasinate Elaida, that way egwene would be accepted as the amyrlin ?

That is what I'm unsure of right now. Maybe something will happen when Egwene serves at Elaida's dinner, since that was mentioned in KoD. Most likely Egwene and Leane will somehow make the sisters in the White Tower agree to rising against Elaida - that's about the only way they would accept Egwene as their new Amyrlin, instead of just raising another woman to the stole.

Beonin's intentions weren't straight out said, but I thought it was being hinted she had ever since the break of the Tower went to the rebels to make trouble over there. She mentioned that she thought how to take advantage of the situation and did just that.

I can't remember a lot of the details either.

It would make me a little queasy to keep the Black Ajah members even if they were bound against doing anything bad. If Eggy hangs them all except for the ones that were turned it would be interesting. Can someone find out if a woman was turned or not?

I'm sure I remember it being hinted at that a channeler can be turned to the light as well as against it, somewhere it wotmania, so maybe certain black ajah members could be turned back to the light
