Ew, yeah. And one scene (I think when he's with Myrelle) where Lan's chest is described as "lightly-furred" or some such. Made me gag. And Cadsuane''s line about Rand's "hairless buttocks", I was like uh, would you rather see hairy buttocks, you crazy old lady? Maybe it's because I only like women, so seeing men with chest/armpit/leg/facial hair is off-putting.

I confess that I think Thom is actually a good match for Moiraine and he always was my favorite male character.

Even Galad has a hairy chest There's no way around it, it seems. RJ's men think with that hair, so they have to have lots of it. Even Mat. *sigh* I don't want him to be hairy. But chest hair isn't that bad. Hairy shoulders are the worst imho.

I confess that I cannot picture Galad with any chest hair at all... or any hair anywhere except two places. It just clashes with this image of a silky smooth Galad in my head. It seems so wrong - like picturing the rest of the Dadmodred women with hairy chests. :(

 

Also, I forgot half the minor characters before I started this latest read through. Who the heck are these people?!

off topic: YOU KNOW WHO IS HAIRY. PATRICK STEWART. I noticed when watching one of the xmen movies. He is FUZZY.

 

So maybe since Thom has all that head hair he is pretty smooth chested instead. idk about men and hair.

Well, I guess you can really see RJ's own traits, when you look at the characters...He probably had hairy chest, and blushed constantly during his teens. Oh, and had a gambling problem, mixed with the incapability to choose between older women, and barely legal girls. Either that, or it's just my own sick little mind at play.
