I was looking around on the internet and I stumbled upon a thread on Dragonmount, I thought it was an interesting thread and therefore I stole it to use here.

 

So. Who do you think will die at tarmon? Or the slightly more morbid question. Who do you WANT to die?

 

I would say it should look something like this.

 

Rand: I just think its annoying to have to hear about how he is going to die for 11 books and then by some twist he survives and everybody is happy and people are dancing and spreading body fluids in the streets. But since I don't WANT him to die I will allow RJ a little comprimise and let Rand live if he manages it by doing something utterly mindblowing and just fucking amazing.

 

Thom: Thought you could put your filthy hands in moiraine yeh? Well you dead now.

 

Cadsuane: She got killed when she tried to teach Shain'tain some manners. Covering the world in darkness and otherworldy torment. FOR SHAME!

 

Gawyn: His blonde curly hair that annoys me so much drew every trolloc arrow in a hundred yards. But I will be nice to him and allow him to save Egwene by stumbling clumsily on his own sword and falling and catching an arrow meant for Egwene while he fell.

 

Well....I can't think of anyone else. I want all the rest to survive

I will think of some more later. Just need to remember who in the books I hate or just don't like enough to not be able to sacrifice them.

I want Rand to die. But I don't think he will. If he can't die, I wish one of the girls would, because fluffy happy endings are boring.

 

I don't want Moiraine to die, yet I wouldn't be surprised if she did. The same with Cadsuane.

 

Perrin/Mat are going to make it in all likelihood.

I don't want Cadsuane/Moiraine to die, and am not sure if they will.

 

Rand is going to die and live again, so even if he actually dies it will be a cheat at the end in some way.

 

I get the feeling Perrin might die. Mat possibly could, but there seems like he's got things to do with Tuon in Seanchan.

 

RJ should be brave and pull a Joss Wheadon, who kills the characters you might not think would die in his movies and shows. That's brave.

I think Rand will die, because one of Min's viewings showed him on a funeral pyre with 3 women crying over it.

 

BUT there is some funky weird stuff going on with Logain in Min's visions and Egwene's dreaming too. Something about Logain getting glory (as Min saw in TSR when she was masquerading). And then I remember some dream vision about Logain stepping on things on his way towards Rand's body and then the body disappears. It's only a vague memory of some strange dream, and I probably have some of the details wrong, but I think it means Logain will pretend to be Rand and pretend to be dead for a while, possibly in some scheme to trap the remaining Forsaken?

 

I also think Lan will die. :*( Who I want to die is Thom and Bryne (So Siuan and Mo get back together of course!), and Gawyn, Galad, Cadsuane, lots of Seanchan, and those annoying Kin that are making Nynaeve seem less uber.

RJ said he was going to write a novel about Mat and Tuon as they are 5-10 years after Tarmon so hes not going to die.
