Of course it'll be a cliffhanger (like Jan said) it ensures our continued patronage. If it's the first real act of the climax I just hope it's paced well. I DON'T CARE HOW THE SEA FOLK SEE IT. The many many perspective changes can be so bothersome. Sometimes they worked, but I often just felt taken out of the action.

Based on a recent q/a it now seems certain that I will be dealt a cliffhanger. All I know is Thom better have something good and/or juicy to say about Moiraine because I need something to tide me over and use as a weapon against Whitty and Olivia.

Oh, I knows its silly and existing in 'Happy Lesbian Land', but oh I do like to dream of a nice Siuan/Moiraine love scene. Even a 'lets have one last fling before we shack up with our men' fling. But...yes...unlikely at this point.

What would Mo think of Siuan's new looks and weak powers? Would Mo, being the player she is, accept Aes Sedai hierarchy and treat Siuan as less than equal because of her weakened powers? And in what shape will Moiraine be anyway? Is she stilled too and young-looking (even more eww factor for Thom/Mo) or more powerful somehow, like Gandalf?

It'd be nice to have a scene in the books with lesbian characters. Lesbian more than bi just because I don't know if RJ or Sanderson would write bi characters authentically. RJ didn't do a fantastic job so far with it.

 

The reason I do not like Siuan/Mo is just because of the way Siuan's been acting. If she and Moiraine could be closer but still their more mature selves I'd be really happy.

 

I like Thom's character (except for some really problematic parts RJ wrote in there) though. A musician and Moiraine makes me happy. I wish Thom were a girl bard sometimes but I have learned to love the manness.

I don't like when he slapped Elayne. It would have been better even if he had dunked her and Nynaeve had done the slapping. It bothered me to read it.

I find his entire relationship with Elayne to be just wrong.
