I suppose my issue is RJ has never made any mention of prostitutes. Nynaeve didn't believe in the idea of slaves-didn't even know the word for it at the start of the series, so I suppose I am willing to believe Randland is more "innocent" in certain areas.

 

After all, in the Age of Legends before the shit hit the fan, people didn't even know of war. I'm going to have to side with Olivia on this one.

I'd have to agree with Marie and Olivia.

 

I wasn't too thrilled with the book and actually I don't think it had all that much to do with Sanderson unless he changed the plot significantly. That said, his Mat and Thom were jarring in some spots.

 

Moiraine was mentioned constantly though! ...and a couple times by Siuan.

 

 

Rand has serious issues with Moiraine not being around. He couldn't even look at "beautiful" Caraline.

 

Also, I think Moiraine might be one of the two that uses Callandor besides Rand. I'm not sure who the other could be, but I'd like it if it was Nynaeve.

 

Gawyn's parts were so boring that they just got skimmed.

It may just be that I didn't read that actual part of the book because I didn't have it then And now I'm not that keen on reading more Gawyn than is absolutely necessary.

If AoL is Second Age, maybe there was some leftover history about prostitutes in the AoL's that she was allowed to reference being a Forsaken.

 

As for Gawyn... uh... maybe he's just relentlessly horny and everything is about sex to him now?
