    Hi.
     
    We, the Chosen, are here to teach you how to be the best Darkfriend you can be, plus help you to get around on this new forum. IP.Board is a little different than vB in a few ways.
     
    Adding media like YouTube clips is actually pretty simple on here compared to how it was on vB. Here is how to add a clip to your post (click images to make bigger):
     

    Copy the URL of the clip you want to embed. You do not have to deal with the code elsewhere on the page or do anything else except to copy the URL.
     

    In the Full Editor or Fast Reply mode of Reply click on Insert Media.
     

    Paste the URL of the clip you want to embed and click Insert Media.
     

    The URL will be wrapped in Media tags. Post your comment to see the embedded clip.
     

    It is embedded!
     
    You can also add other types of media. Flickr, for example:
     

    Copy the url of the SET you want to show. Go to the Insert Media button in Reply as shown before.
     

    It will show up as a slideshow of that particular set in your post.

    Mark Forums as Read

    Since having moved to IP.Board the posts in each board show up as unread. As before click on the image to see the larger size.
     

    To mark an entire Forum as Read look for Mark this forum as read up on the right side of each individual forum.
     

    Now it will just show threads as unread if there are new posts since your last log in.
     
    You can also mark forums read on the index page.
    The first way, for individual forums, is to simply click the new post icon next to the forum name.

     
    The second way is to scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Mark Board as Read link. Then all forums will be read.

    The user control panel is a bit different than vBulletin's and might take some getting used to. Once again, click images for full size.
     
    First off, you access your user panel by selecting My Settingsfrom the drop down menu you see once you click your display name in the top right corner.

     
    From the main settings tab you can set your privacy settings, time zone, how you receive private message notifications, enable a Rich Text Editor/WYSIWYG, and how items are displayed on the New Content page.

     
    For those with permission, you can change your display name. This does not change your username.

     
    IP.Board lets you keep personal notes for yourself. Never forget that shopping list or world domination plans again!

     
    On the Profile tab you can select what you want to get notified for and how.

     
    You can also link your profile to your Facebook account. Once this is done you can even login via Facebook. OpenID is also possible.
