its one of the things you do have a choice about, once you get old enough to understand properly.my parents aren't that religious either, so they aren't too fussed, so i'm lucky!
 -

it doesn't bother me overmuch, and i have made very close friendships... my best friend in the world is more like a sister to me... we only see each other a few times a year because of living in different countries, but we still finish off each others sentences, and when one of us is upset the other seems to instinctively feel it, and calls... it's odd, but it's an amazing feeling... i guess like having a twin!
saying that, i do need my own space... hence being so happy about my house! hehe even when my bf moved in last summer when my parents went away, it did get to the point where i was like "go away. for five minutes!" cos i needed my space! hmm... and yet i LOVE going out with my friends! strange...

supposedly i was meant to be brought up a catholic. instead i'm not religious at all.. strange...
 -

aww! ur cute! hehe shame that they made you wear clothes you didn't like... but i do think it's one of those things you *have* to do otherwise you grow up having missed out on something!
 -

yea, i love it really! and it sure makes a nice change from being an only child!
 -

yup, seventeen! i'm the only only child in my family, my mum has 1 sister and 4 brothers, and they have all had at least two and up to 5 children. then they bring their brothers and sisters, and partners and children, and it just all gets a bit ridiculous!
being the oldest girl, i get to "play" with the kids! ajit, i don't keep an eye on them, i just stand in the middle and hope for the best! it would be ok if they saw me as some sort of authority figure, but they don't... and if i say "no" or "don't do that" they look at me, laugh, and carry on! bless... ages range from 9 years to 18 month old twins... it's... interesting!

i like Tony or Toni, it's a nice name. but your real name is pretty too!
my teachers used to call me "trouble" even when i was 18 and sitting my A level exams!
How is it that nicknames always seem to come from the most horrid or embarrassing moments of one's life?i don't know... some perverse streak of human nature i suppose... but it's true!

		ah' date=' girlie holidays...[/quote']

Aren't they the best tho?
yup! hehe i wanted to go on one this year, but none of us have any money cos we are busy being poor students...
just to keep you guys updated, i think the situation with my boyfriend is improving... which is definitely a good thing! so i'm much happier at the moment! yay! fingers crossed it was just one of those stupid phases blokes have from time to time...
i like my family get togethers most of the time... but the next time the entire family descends, i'm going to take sivart's advice and lock myself in my room... because when everyone's there, i get to babysit SEVENTEEN children by myself so that their parents can all have a break and talk to each other!! argh!

hmm... another one which i HATE with a vengeance is "bogbrush", which my parents closest friends, nick and judy, call me - they never had children so i'm like their daughter too... judy assures me the name suited me when i was tiny, because my hair grew straight up... just like a toilet brush. Great! *sigh*

hehe i have to be honest here and say that i hadn't seen or heard of her before whitney posted about her here, which is probably something to with me flatly refusing to watch horror films, and i don't really watch that much tv either. lol but from the pictures, she's the best idea we've had for liandrin!

Laurie makes sense... are there stories behind the others?!
 -

[Did they let you to have long nails and to polish them in...blue,for example?

they didn't... but we did anyway!! we had this one teacher who used to keep nail polish remover in her desk, and would take your nail polish off for you if she caught you with it. but the others were ok... we weren't supposed to wear jewellery, either.

yep, meeting you guys is definitely a good thing that happened this summer!

i THINK it's improving... altho im still not sure... but i saw him yesterday and things seemed fairly normal, although he was a bit distant... we have worked through things before and fingers crossed we will do again. thank you all for your supportive words, they help!
my favourite summer... i think was last year, just before we all went off to university or gap years or whatever... we did a lot of spontaneous crazy stuff, and spent as much time as we could as a huge group, and i went to greece with 5 of my best friends. (ah, girlie holidays...)
 -

eek! children scare me! i can deal with my own cousins, but that's about as far as i go... and six?! you're very brave, sivart.
as for nicknames... everything my parents call me is the same as they did when i was about 4... and my friends are either too lazy to call me carla, or think that they should change it because it makes it more "interesting"... and when i meet people for the first time they always call me carly or clara, so i answer to pretty much anything now!!

thank you whitty and ajit
 i hope so too! -

il take a photo of it one of these days! argh, work again this morning... its days like this i wish i WAS aes sedai and then i wouldnt be stuck in a stupid office...

53 the food in general... i don't think i could live without chocolate!
54 no mobile phones- so without Travelling you would have no way of keeping in touch with friends and loved ones
and a good thing...#
55 horses being the main form of transport!
and i have to agree, would be wonderful to be able to wear pretty dresses without people giving you funny looks...
 -

for one of the good characters... i think i am a lot like nynaeve. although some of my sniffs are because of hayfever! lol worryingly, the more i read and re-read the series, the more convinced i become that she is somehow influencing my behaviour...
If I were to turn evil, I would become Lanfear. That is obvious. I could see myself going on a killing rampage over some stupid man.and yes, unfortunately i can totally see myself doing that too. possibly in the not too distant future, if he decides that we should end the relationship

 -

gaah, this is a hard decision!
male - has to be lan. he has that air of protectiveness about him, which i love in a man, and i never go for pretty boys!
female... i think im a lot like nynaeve, even down to losing my common sense over just one man in the world. and then the image i have of lanfear is of a breathtakingly beautiful stunner of a woman... but then i admire birgitte cos she has girl power. and im always being told off by my bloke mates for having no idea what makes a girl "fit", so i guess im not too qualified to answer that question! plus im indecisive as hell!
 -

no, i had no idea, and it made me cry! but im a bit fragile and prone to tears at the moment anyway... am now re-reading HP5 cos i kept finding references to it in HBP that i only half-understood!
 -

ah, i love it! brightened up my day at work... although i work in an open plan office and having laughed out loud, people are now giving me very strange looks....

 -

ah, summer... i was almost looking forward to being home for the summer...
the good things are that i have started dance training again, and that i have moved into a house of my own. Space! and i LOVE to dance...
however so far summer has been tainted by my bf of four and a half years announcing that he thinks his feelings have changed since we went to university, and he doesnt know if he loves me any more and he needs time and space to think. which was definitely what i wanted to hear.
so at the moment... summer sucks! im hoping it will improve, i dont start uni again until october... so plenty of time i guess!!
hope everyone else's summer is good tho!
xx
