Favorite picture of Moiraine

Some of the New Spring comic art is really good, but my two favorites are the Terese Nielsen depiction and this sketch, the origin of which I am unsure of. I vaguely recall seeing it somewhere on DeviantArt.

 

The Nielsen version communicates very well her Aes Sedai dignity and confidence. The other picture, though much simpler, does a good job of capturing her serenity, as well her "big and dark" eyes and "dark hair hanging in lazy ringlets."

 

The second picture is a close approximation of my mental image of her.

Bumping an old thread but any excuse to look at pictures of Moiraine.

 

My favourite is tFoH ebook cover art. It also happens to be the first picture of Moiraine I ever came across. I think the artist did a wonderful job of capturing a pivotal moment in that book. Her face is youthful, composed, wise and ageless and that dress is beyond anything I could ever have imagined.
