Prompt 2: "Silk"

Recommended Posts

Hi there. Long time lurker here. I thought it was about time to try to give back to this wonderful community you guys have built that has been a part of my WoT experience for so long. Anyway, I tried my hand at some fanfiction since these prompts seemed like such a good place to start. I hope you enjoy and it is not too boring. (And you don't wish me back into my hole).

The smooth caress of silk - such a silly thing to miss. Moiraine’s newly callused fingers stroked the robe, snagging on the fabric occasionally. She held the fire-warmed garment to her chest, the fabric hanging from her hand and draping down her breast and stomach until it ended in a pool on the floor. The fire was the only illumination, causing the blue robe to appear nearly black and shadows to waver fitfully across the floor. Heat made her cheeks flush and she was absurdly glad of the long hair veiled her face.

A large hand touched Moraine’s bare shoulder and smoothed across to brush the hair away from her neck. His fingertips were rough and the warmth of his hand caused the cool skin of her back to pebble deliciously. She tilted her head forward and he briefly placed wind-chapped lips against the nape of her neck. His hand trailed down her spine causing her to tense against a shiver. He stopped playfully at her hip and then snaked his arm around to place a hand on her belly beneath the robe. She dropped the robe at his insistent touch and stepped back into his embrace.

Incidentally, I'm open to any critique you may have for me. Since this a/n is becoming longer than the drabble I will just leave it at that. :)

This is really beautiful. Welcome to the forum! This isn't a place to feel shy about posting fic. Moiraine fans all seem to know how to write good stories. What is it about her that draws all you good writers here?

We are also greedy for fic. :getcookie:

I want to know why her hands are now calloused and who that person was too. Sequel?
