You should read Marian Zimmer Bradley's The Firebrand It's about the Trojan war, from the point of view of Kassandra. Great book, and not too long if you want to read it, Callybear. Lots of good fighting and romance and ancient culture.

I mena more about the amazons. you know anyhting about them?

Well, most of what people know is just myth, and ancient Greek male fantasies of warrior women. But we do know is that there were groups of nomadic women that engaged in battle in that era.

Myths say that they lived in bands entirely without men, and slept with men in towns they passed to make children (and killed any boy babies they had).

Another popular myth is that they cut off one of their breasts so that they could fire a bow more easily (this might sound strange but I personally am an archer and I have to wear a mesh band across my chest to protect it from the bowstring slicing across my chest when I fire. Very painful >.<) Personally I think this is just male arrogance, thinking that women had to make themselves less of women to be as good at fighting as men were.
