I have finally booked a visa date
-
Oh my god, that is such complete crap. :/ No wonder you are so pissed!
It seems the I-20 had a mistake and it was sent back to the Uni ... but no one bothered to inform me
I am going ahead and booking the date anyways. I can edit the I-20 specific fields later.

I was excited as in feeling too excitable in general! I was also looking forward to getting Momodollfie, which I now have.
The night isn't for sleep anyway, that's what daylight is for.
Is anything wrong, Ajit? Want to vent?
****** begin rant *********
Well, one of the Unis has been dallying for 4.5 months now and still are keeping me hanging on a thread without a reply.
The date on which I want to book a visa interview is open, but I don't have my I-20 yet
So I am not able to book it. Also I am not able to apply for an educational loan without it.
All this because of an error/carelessness somewhere ...
****** end rant **********

@ Marie : Thanks for the siggie. Is it just me or does the robot look a little exasperated ??
@ Kait : Nice thinking with the black-racer. I would have waited so that it came near and I could pet it
Here's another one. A snake had come to a neighbour's house once. It was a Wheat-cobra, about 6-7 foot long and very poisonous. It had coiled itself around the base of the Washing machine and was very scared to let anyone near. The snake-catcher struggled for hours to capture it. Finally when he did capture it, our neighbour made him promise that he would not kill it and would release it into the wild.

A black cobra? Sounds really cool
And nice new sig, Ajit.
Yep, it was about 10 foot long.
Here's another incident that happened to a close friend of mine. He was going out to get something and when he got to the gate, he found that a snake had wound itself around the gate's locking mechanism and was sun-bathing.
As for the siggie, I don't know who made it, but its awesome

The instrument sounds a lot like 'Ghatam' a south-indian classical music instrument, just a lot more sonorous.

You guys even have a snake season ??
About 10 yrs ago, a huge black cobra had come to our garage and was resting after a huge meal (it was bloated up around the middle). It was around 7:00 pm at night. We thought of calling a snake catcher, but the snake just left.

Yay!! Thank you all !!
Great siggie as well. Who made it ??
-
I agree with all that's been said. Probably people paid her in coins whenever they could or paid her in kind. Also maybe she had a fixed salary from the women's council ??
As for carrots, ... why ?? Why not tabac, or wool or other veggies too ?

Akki(rice flour) roti and Grated coconut chutney.
