Well at first i thought that no one actually cared :stab:

 

First of all thank you for the warm greetings.

I'm Fenix. Although that's not my real name almost all my friends know me by that nick. I live in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. That's a small country on the Balkans. As you've probably seen english is not my native language so please excuse me for any misunderstandings and mistakes :?.I've graduated high school and i'm going to study in Germany in the university of Magdeburg in October. It's going to be my first year.

I'm a guitar player and music is my passion. I've had two bands but the recordings were poor. They were metal bands but i see that my taste of music changes as i grow older. I'm much into the guitar music now. Joe Satriani kind of stuff.

I know that you would have never thought of that but i'm a WoT fan. :P I love this world mostly because is different and everything has good explanation in it. Not like the typical mages who no one know how they cast spells and are really really powerfull and can do just about everything but as it comes the time for the hero to be a hero they can't do anything... if you get what i mean. Also RJ's characters are not the typical good and bad thing and are really complex.

Moiraine is my favourite characters of all books that i've read (not only WoT). The fact that she is not "the good powerfull mage" is the thing i like most.

As this is the Moiraine forum i think that in this thread i should say what i think about Moiraine's suspicious death. Personally i don't believe that she is dead but I am sure that she will not return. I've started to re-read the books and yesterday i've finished the ninth book and i noticed something that i haven't seen before and that i've not seen on the internet. As Lanfaer went to kill Rand while using Chedan Kal (sp?) she thinks about her captivity while she was with the aelfins and eelfins (sp again?). I wonder what that means 'cos as you know those are the people on the other side of the Ter'Angreal...

 

Ok, this has become too long. Generally this is about me... :)

Oh and one more thing. I've never read the books in english, only in bulgarian. The writing of RJ is awesome and the language of the literature is a little hard for me. I have to say that the bulgarian translation is awesome. I have the books on e-format in english and from there i see how are the names spelled but that's the reason if there are mistakes while writing some WoT terms... :)

Interesting to hear that you haven't read the WoT series in English. I have always found that translations lose a lot of the original charm, but apparently, they've done a good job with WoT.

 

Hmm... I'm Jan and I'm from India. It's a bit quiet around here in the forum these days, but I'm sure things will hot up soon.

 

Oh, and I'm planning to re-read WoT again. I haven't managed to finish book 10 for the past year (pretty bad considering I read books 1-9 in a span of two months!).

Kavarna is a beautiful city. In this city lives the only woman who plays the drumms that i know... :)

:o Boris or Bobi, whatever you wish but poeple who don't call me Bobi (everything else exept my family :)) usually call me Fenix :)
