For those of us who are getting them, has anyone gotten #5? I still haven't got mine and I'm starting to really wonder about it....

I suppose you didn't get the email then. Well, I was going to post it anyway, but here it is a bit quicker than my usual self!

 

To all New Spring Subscribers:

 

We have some important information for you about the future availability of Robert Jordan’s New Spring comic series.

 

The New Spring comic is in active production. This means that new issues in the series will be mailed out to our direct subscribers and be available at retail comic book stores just as soon they are produced and printed.

 

Red Eagle Entertainment is the publisher of New Spring, and is responsible for the printing and distribution of each issue. The actual production of the New Spring comic series is overseen by Dabel Brothers Production (DB Pro). DB Pro is responsible for the preparation of each issue of New Spring, along with a team of independent artists, writers and colorists that they hire, supervise and manage.

 

Recently, DB Pro informed Red Eagle that it has continued to experience production problems that have delayed the availability of Issue No. 5. As a result of these problems, DB Pro decided to hire a new lead artist and colorist for the remaining issues in New Spring series. In addition, DB Pro was asked to rework some of the artwork for Issue No. 5 in order to meet the high quality objectives of Robert Jordan and Red Eagle. Unfortunately, these factors have combined to cause the availability of Issue No. 5 to fall far behind the release schedule that was recently announced by DB Pro on their website. As a result of these delays, Issue No. 5 is now planned to be shipped out to our subscribers on February 23rd.

 

As the publisher of New Spring, we apologize for this delay. However, DB Pro has informed us that their delays in completing New Spring Issue No. 5 have not seriously impacted the schedule for Issue No. 6, which is nearly complete and which is now expected to be mailed to our subscribers on March 29th, and be available in retail comic stores around April 7th.

 

Moreover, the two remaining issues in the New Spring series (Issues No. 7 and No. 8 ) are both expected to be completed and delivered in accordance with the availability dates that have previously been published by DB Pro. Oh and what's with Siuan's blue hair? I mean, I know you "gotta have blue hair" and all...but still. and then what is up with that ponytailish thing goin on? yeah. ok. I think I like the other artist better, and I didn't even know there was one...
