Gateway/Traveling peculiarity

Recommended Posts

I randomly came up with this thought as I was driving today.

How is it that channelers can form gateways to other places without there being violent gusts of wind when they Travel from an area of high barometric pressure to an area of low pressure and vice versa?

You would think that if you were up on a mountain somewhere and you attempted to Travel to sea level just like that, a great gust of wind would meet you as you opened your gateway. Apparently leaves and snow and rain can be blown through your gateway if it's windy or snowing or raining on the other side, so what's the deal with this isobaric atmospheric pressure in randland?
