Well!

 

Barbie dolls are about 29cms, made from vinyl, have weird plastic joints in the knees and elbows, back when I was a kid they couldn't stand on their own but hey maybe they've changed, rooted hair, painted eyes, mass produced.

 

BJDs are about 60cms (there are different sized ones), made from resin, bald - they wear wigs, they are...ball jointed so they can move their heads, hands, feet, knees, elbows, shoulders, and hip/thigh region thingie...the joint next to the genitalia, they are hand made and sculpted with glass/silicon/acrylic eyes. Oh, and they can stand on their own.

 

So! I'm pretty sure there are asian versions of Barbie, but these aren't it.
