Just a thought, since Moiraine was in the door at Tear will she be able to do what Mat did and..Get stuff? Could be the reason shes trapped in there is that that was the price the Finn demanded somehow, or maybe shes just taking a nap?

Mat went in the doorway in Tear and got his questions answered too. If anything I think she might not be able to get out because she went in together with Lanfear. The Finn hate the Shadow or anything having to do with it. That, or she is biding her time because she knows the price will be something she can't accept. edit: Or, the Price is somehow having to do with the waiting.. that she can't leave by herself maybe?

I don't think Moiraine would be able to channel or push her way out like Rand did in the other doorway. She's really not strong enough in the OP and there aren't other ta'varen in there to bend the Pattern in her favor.

See, that's exactly what im talking about.

Aside from being the typical noblewoman diplomat, Moiraine is no stranger to kicking ass and taking names. Think Be'lal, and Lanfear. Who else would have had the balls to stand and fight, the way she did? I say very few, if anyone at all, save for Rand Al'Thor.

But Rand never really paid her much mind, because he was always afraid of the Aes Sedai hook. Now that she will be distanced from the White Tower some, she can act more genuinely and focus on doing what needs to be done, rather than insinuating to Rand what needs to be done. Granted, much of what she knows will probably still be let out in half-truths and statements cloaked in innuendo, but she won't have to worry so much about the sanctity of the Blue Ajah. IOW, now she can be a true ally to him, and someone he can trust. If I were him, I'd want her right by my side 24/7, till the end of the Last Battle.

I agree, she isn't. But she's not the same as Nyn or Cad. She does it in surprise ways.. it's not her style to rush in (I should say rush in premature.. she goes in guns blazing with the Forsaken, but she also waited at least a little for the right time to really get them)! It works for some, but what works for her is different. I'm hoping Rand will want to trust her now and not try to push her away, but I'm thinking it'd be up to her really!

Elayne and Moiraine, interesting juxtaposition.

Elayne is prissy, but she is probably the most diplomatic of all the WoT characters. She knows what she wants, but she does treat all people with respect, even lowly peons. She is also quite adventurous in ways that Moiraine wasn't, but chalk that up to being Andoran, and Moiraine being Cairhienin. Remember when she went topless just so she could "fit in" with the Sea Folk? Mmmm....

Moiraine is diplomatic, but she's a bit of ball-buster. She knows what she wants, and will at first use a diplomatic tone with you to get it, but if you resist, then she will use other, more painful means. She's a true patrician, a lady through and through. Elayne still needs to put away childish things, so to speak.
