I intend to at least start watching this show, but I'm not going to go in with any kind of hopes. I'm largely indifferent towards the casting so far, but I'm also not one of the sort who necessarily wants actors to resemble the characters physically. Fingers crossed, but not holding my breath. If nothing else, finding out people know something about WoT is kind of interesting among my friends.

Whoa, I love this casting! My fears were unfounded after the Nope Moiraine casting. Nyn and Eggy are so pretty 😮 Perrin doesn’t look like he fell on his head as a child... which is what I was worrying about. Rand... is not bad. I like Mat but he could be better. Oh well!

So they're making some changes to Perrin's story. Now make no mistake, Perrin is quite possibly the character I care about the least, but I'm uneasy about the random and unnecessary changes to the story. I'm starting to feel like this is one of those "you should never meet your heroes" things, where you shouldn't have your favourite book series televised. Bah.
