I agree about the high arches. She also likes to dance those court dances, so she's likely to be up on the balls of her feet a lot. It just seems to go together.
I do not think she would have stayed in Cairhien. I think that the same sort of events with her family would still have happened, and she's still the most likely choice for the Crown, so she would have found some other excuse to hurry off.
You weren't supposed to think the first part was sensible! *shakes her head* She would have gone on horseback because she would have liked the alone time.

Some newer members have come lately. *cheers* We haven't done a whole lot of talking about Moiraine lately, and I was wondering if anybody had some topics about her they would like to discuss that really haven't been, or would like to add to some previous discussions they weren't here for?
It'd probably be better than me making a topic about whether Moiraine is more likely to have high arches or flat feet.
To make this a valid topic, lol, I decided to put a short survey in here too.
1. Does Moiraine have high arches or flat feet? Why do you think so?
2. If Moiraine was born without the ability to channel what do you think her life would have been like in her late teens? What would her life have progressed into later in life?
3. The year is 10 ATG (after TG). Moiraine is traveling on a light warhorse from the capital city of Cairhien to Fal Dara to stay for three days with 15 pounds of luggage, a 2 pound horse blanket, and 10 pounds combined saddle/bridle/horse gear, with enough food for herself and the horse to last ten days while wearing a traditional gown suitable for a ball at the Sun Palace in winter. Taking into account this information - why can't you people just admit that the Blue Ajah is the Deepest, and why would Moiraine be doing this if she could just use a gateway?

Blues are the deepest. That was the argument.
The dye came from plant sources which had to be nurtured by the ground, sun, and sky. The roots were nestled deep within the earth for the time it took for the lovely flowers (with deep centers) to become just the right maturity. They were picked and crushed up by women and men that had deep pockets so that they could carry lots at a time, and pressed and had to undergo a huge change. That dye was placed in a deep bucket into which the shoe went, and stayed in place until the color went deeply and thoroughly into the fabric.
But the dye was not fixed, and so completely spread down the entire depth of the ocean and out to the farthest corners of the earth. This massive amount of the deepest water was therefore blue. When the Blue swam down through the deep ocean she carried paint made in a slightly different way than dye, but still using plants with extremely deep roots. She went so far into the blue stillness that she came out the other side and fell up into the air. There she spread her paint, and circled the world painting the sky. She had deep blue eyes as well.

Water is Blue because Siuan went fishing once and dipped a blue slipper that didn't have fixed dye on it into the ocean, and all turned blue. That is the official truth.

Tigers may not be the king of the jungle, but these striped cats are no softies! Magnetic and self-possessed, Tigers are born leaders. They have an air of authority that prompts others to fall in line, which is exactly how they like it. Although they are magnetically charming and fun to be around, Tigers like to go it alone sometimes too. Goats are so cute. They are smart too! When I lived in this crappy little fishing village as a teenager they had stray goats instead of dogs. One stray goat used to come to the back door wearing little bows on his horns. Thinking back he reminds me of Siv!Daydreaming all afternoon sounds heavenly to the Goat. This creative, esoteric Sign needs plenty of time alone in which to feed its Muse. Goats are generally most comfortable in their own minds (which other, more linear-thinking Signs may have trouble deciphering). This Sign makes a great craftsperson or artisan, or perhaps a teacher of New Age studies -- any occupation that allows its mind the full range of freedom. Goats tend not to be very well-organized, precluding many more dry business endeavors. In fact, Goats tend not to be very materialistic in general, finding plenty of riches in their own imagination. However, especially when in love, the Goat can be quite a lavish gift-giver.Perhaps it's that artistic temperament that so often causes Goats to feel insecure, but the result is that these high-strung creatures need to feel loved and admired lest they start worrying incessantly. For this reason, Goats tend to have a hard time with romance; anyone who couples up with a Goat must know, this Sign has a sensitive streak a mile wide and can be subject to bouts of anxiety over seemingly inconsequential things. And what is wrong with Thom/Rand?! Thom is old and wrinkly but could do all sorts of acrobatic flips if it weren't for his hurt knee and is all youthful. Rand is youthful and doesn't have hair sticking out of his ears but is grouchy, grumpy, crotchety, and sour. What match between WoT men could possibly be more perfect?

Yes, in art too! You simply are just not mixing the colors right! There is no true black, just extremely dark blue, green, purple, or brown.
But a transition cannot be pure! A transition is moving from one thing into another, so purity is not possible!

What is the deepest thing? An ocean! Oceans are blue because the sky is blue! The sky is blue because a Blue swam down to the bottom of the Ocean and through the other side in order to fall upwards and paint the sky such a pretty blue, and then the top of the world caught her and slid her around to the other side! *gasps* And so Blues are the deepest!
