  1. If Lan gets to watch, he might not mind at all. In fact, he might set it all up to make peace between them.

Also, if there is friction between girls one is rarely innocent. I'm sure Moiraine is very capable of bitch-fighting really dirty and still look like a saint. In fact, wasn't that what New Spring was all about? It's hard to imagine that she hasn't improved tons since then.

  2. I was on my phone! *huffs*

I think that Nynaeve's irrational hatred and latent jealousy have passed, and their "rivalry" was always one sided, however I don't know if I can ever see them not being awkward around each other. Mutual respect, sure, but friends? As hard of a time as Moiraine might have making new friends, Nynaeve seems to have it harder. They seem to be similar enough to repel one another.

I think they get to have post-coital bliss if they wanna! It's really unfair to assume that made up characters needs to follow some poetic plan and can't act out of character. How many times in history haven't two girls that usually hate each other suddenly gone, "Hey, I'm feeling a bit lesbian at the moment, wanna give it a go?" It adds character depth and such thinking has been enormously beneficial for the porn industry.

  3. This conjures the picture with the two of them on back in bed with blanket drawn over boobs like in movies, and they are both looking up at the ceiling while smoking and talking about previous lovers and sexual experiences.

  4. Maybe it's 'cause of legal issues. I mean, she was declared dead, wasn't she? Might be easier on the paperwork to just marry back rather than having courts and whatnot appoint her not dead. Especially if people already inherited her stuff and use fortunes to stall her legally. And Thom's the kind of goof who thinks it's love.

  5. What about Fablehaven by Brandon Mull? Or the Jacky Faber books...though, those are technically historical fiction. I also like Kim Harrison's Hollows.

Then there is more old fashioned fantasy by David Eddings that's not too bad. Or by Robin Hobb, hers are fun. But if you want really boring you could go for the Riftwar saga.
