Eh, the battle was over...the way the scene folded out I think it had more to do with Lan going down to talk with Mat or not.

First off, Rand thinks about Moiraine a lot. Almost to the point where I want him to shut the hell up. I get it! She gave you advice! OK!

I found a scrap of paper with words written on it pondering what Lan/Moiraine fought about around the time of the battle for Cairhien (Mat saw them on a hilltop).

The BWB stated something about how they had invented really good BC due to the long reproduction life of channelers.

They just age slower, so it would happen later depending on the woman (some women go through it later/ealier than others). They start graying around ~150.
It'll be easier to explain once you read further into the books.

This blog entry describes an author's relationship with DB Pro. At this point I no longer can say I have any real sympathy for DB in regards to what went down with REE.
I just sent an email (again!) to Les and Ernst about my comics. UGH. This is so bad. I am not purchasing a sub for the WoT comics; from now on I'll buy them the week they are released because that is the only way I'll probably know I'll get them.

All US books have art done by Sweet, except the young adult editions which were done by Charles Keegan. I feel so abused.
LoC is bad, but I bought it when I was 15 and had no shame. I'm so used to it now I don't even think about it, but I would be very embarrassed to have that Gathering Storm with me in the breakroom at work.
Why can't I live in Europe?! *shakes fist*

First and foremost, I have to give you props for doing a fic that long; I know I couldn't and I can't recall the last time I read such an in-depth one.
I did enjoy how their emotions and thoughts mirrored each other, although the quick jumping between point of views was at times a little jarring.
It also felt a touch repetitive at points: toward the end I felt a little overwhelmed with all the descriptions of Moiraine's dark tresses.
Also, even though perhaps a more realistic way of portraying it, Lan's continued ignorance on what could be bothering Moiraine made me want to smack him. I'd probably just tone the "she hates me!" stuff down a bit.Which brings me to another stickler for me: Aes Sedai can mask the bond so those, uh, sexual feelings from down below aren't shared. Obviously Lan wouldn't have this benefit (I'm pretty sure only channelers can do it? Someone correct me if wrong), but if Moiraine didn't want Lan to know she was wanting some sex, well, she could make sure he didn't know. As well she wouldn't need to feel him having sex. That of course would take a bit away from what you are going for, so I would suggest a simple explanation of why such a thing wouldn't work: Maybe Moiraine tries but hasn't mastered the art of it yet?
I didn't really follow the logic of why her writs had to remain bound on the horse ride back, in fact I forgot she was still bound until they dismounted.
I think in general just a little bit more fine tuning to get rid of any moments the reader stops and goes "but couldn't they just do x, y, z?" would help absorb them into the story better.
Overall it was nice to read a Moiraine/Lan fic!

I laughed the first time I read it. Don't kill me, Olivia the I.
The reason I laughed was because I was also one of those readers who ended up being spoiled as to Moiraine's fate. But book five was so loooooong and I kept thinking "when does she DIE?!" so when it finally arrived, I was kind of relieved.

I sent an email to DB Pro last week and heard nothing back...so I sent an email to Red Eagle and Larry forwarded a note onto Les.Dear Les,In the past two days, I have received three e-mails from exasperated New
Spring subscribers who have tried to contact DB Pro (two of them repeatedly)
about their New Spring subscriptions, but have heard nothing back. For your
convenience, I have attached each of their e-mails to this note. Given that
we are only one week away from the date DB Pro publicly announced that Issue
No. 6 will "hit" the stores, they are understandably concerned that the lack
of any reply from DB Pro may mean they will not receive their comics in a
timely manner.
I can personally vouch that these subscribers have been good customers of
Red Eagle Entertainment. Goodness knows how or why, but these subscribers
have been extremely patient these past years while waiting for the
conclusion of the New Spring comic. (yes I have, thank you!)I know that you are very busy, but I
ask you to please give each of them the courtesy of a prompt and personal
reply.
