The death of Siuan's Warder has always been strange to me; since it was assumed he was dead by the time she saw him. A death she should have sensed.

 

... a lot of people have asked questions about Alric's death. I should have made matters plainer. As I envisioned it, Alric, having sensed Siuan's extreme shock, came running to her and arrived just in time to be stabbed just before Siuan was taken into the anteroom. She should have sensed the knife going in, but that was masked by her shock. When she sees him lying there, he is dying, though not yet dead. As I said, I should have made it plainer.

 

I can sleep at night now. Ok, not really.

I'm not convinced about the explanation, though. How "extreme" can shock be that you wouldn't feel the death of your Warder? It should have shocked her out of her shock!

I'm guessing it's the shock of seeing your ultimate compainion lying there injusred and the lenght to with those stupid idiotic bitches were ready to do to see her deposed. Beside, feeling a dyying man in your head must be something strange enough to shock as if the thing wasn,t, I mean the whole affair should never have happened!

 

Sorry, the whole Siuan being deposed thing is a sore spot. I'll never forgive Gawyn for stopping the warders from rescuing her! I hated him from that point on.

Was she was stilled before his execution or was he killed as she was stilled ??

I don't know if it was just gawyn who was responsible for her not being rescued,.... he was the leader of the younglings ofcourse,.....

Other than that, his hatred for rand will come to head in the coming books,..... it is definetely intresting to see how RJ handles it.

I think that RJ just messed up. It' normal, after all He has written so much... and the explanation that he gives is just... weak

She was in shock when he was stabbed. He died afterwards. But by then Siuan was being beaten herself.
