Kaitlin 22
oh yeah.. fanfic... *clears her throat* Eep! What I have written so far is not actually smutty yet! -rant- I love my mother. I really do. She wanted me to make this crocheted afgan for her. I can't crochet very well. *knits, only a little* She knows this. She kept bringing me different patterns.. trying to talk me into it back in early November. I don't know how she expected me to be finished something like that by Christmas even if I knew how to do it. So, anyway I went out and bought a crocheted afgan. Then, while taking care of her one weekend (opportune time to lay on the guilt heavily) she shows me all of this yarn she bought for me, and a complicated pattern. Said she thought I couldn't afford to buy it all. *growls* Why is this so freaking important to her?! Being raised catholic, I of course started working like mad trying to make this darn blanket. It's ridiculous how much it's interfered with everything else these past two months. Everything is now last minute. Lol, this is very bad for a natural procrastinator. -end rant- Whew. jan 14
Re: Rant.... ~ahem~ I crochet a bit! Am always on the lookout for new/interesting things/patterns to make. Never made an afghan or worked with wool... but next year, I can ghost for you if you want!
Kaitlin 22
Re: Rant.... ~ahem~ I crochet a bit! Am always on the lookout for new/interesting things/patterns to make. Never made an afghan or worked with wool... but next year' date=' I can ghost for you if you want! [/quote'] *squeals softly in glee* oh yes! You can ghost for me for sure! *wiggle* How in the world could a person repay somebody for that? Do your chairs need reupholstering? This pattern involves making something like quilting squares with a star shape left out of the middle. It looks like it'd be quite pretty if done by somebody competent. (not me!) Do you want it scanned?
jan 14
Ooh, yeah! Do you have a pattern graph as well? The biggest problem I have with crochet is that the patterns I get (Net, books, etc.) talk of either US or European thread brands and needle numbers - and you never quite know what you're getting here! The last afghan I "tried" turned out to be a cute little table mat
Cerendrallion 32
*idle* My grandmother tried to teach me how to knit. She got impatient and threw the needles at me after 3 hours of non-productive teaching.
