 Oooh. Aren't you all lucky?! My first foray into scriptwriting and my first bit of writing in over a year. Its being performed Monday next week, so read and tell me what kind of audience reaction I can expect. And if you can't be bothered, shame on you! :D

Madness In Mind

Doctor:

Can you tell me what this is?

(He holds up a sheet of paper)

Clarisse:

That, Doctor, is a piece of paper.

Me loves the start and the suicided chickens! But then it just goes sad for Clarisse when she really has no options but to play scrabble with the family *shivers*. Me fears she'll really go mad after that!

And ooh, was there an Amadeus reference in there too? q-:

In Amadeus, Antonio Salieri names himself, "the Patron Saint of mediocrity". It is quite a memorable scene so that's why I associated it with what Clarisse says.

*nodnod* Let's hope the audiance loves it... if they don't you can blame the lousy actors or the awfull director... or even the producer?

Ooh, Bertram! Wasn't that my contribution?! Or was it for something else?

I like it, I like it! It kinda makes you laugh and be sorry and horrified for Clarisse at the same time! It must be great to see it being performed! If I didn't like you, I'd be jealous! ;P

That is very well written. The characters are well conceived and speak in very distinct personal voices. It's all very honest, with a marvelously dry wit and humor. I'm usually one to dispense construtive critique first, but this really isn't begging any. Is this apart of a larger play you're working on? I'd love to see where the dynamic evolves to. Well done, well done.
