Sanity - Realities I must Accept

Recommended Posts

This is an excerpt from chapter one (near the end). It's a story I started writing Saturday. (That's how bored I was). The story's title: Sanity - Realities I must Accept. I had another name originally but I forgot...

I hope to finish Chapter One sometime this week.

Chapter One: Boredom of Reality - Realities and Imaginations

A boy is standing alone in a midst of a city. He peers about, looking around himself from the middle of the street. A cold chilly wind hits him; he puts his arms around himself and shivers. He looks up at the sky. Overcast. Everything is cast in a light of gray, how it usually is on a cloudy overcast day. The streets are empty, the wind blows a paper or two across the street, and that's all the movement there is, except for the trees of course. No one else here? He begins to walk towards a school, a high school. The gates are open and he walks in, he looks around No one's here. He begins to walk to his right, there are many doors leading to classrooms, he tries one, it opens. Empty. Chairs and desk are arranged in semi-straight rows and lines. Some order. He tries a few more, and finds the same thing. Each room varies a little, depending on the subject the teacher probably teaches. Where are they? Flicker.

The room is dark, very dim blue rays of light are entering through the small slits in the blinds on the window. A young person is standing in a room with their head down. Their face is dark and unreadable, unable to tell if it's a girl or guy. Something shimmers in the small rays of light

Yes I am. There's a lot before this, and I'm going to write some more to it in a bit tonight.

I'm just not too certain how to...go on with the story. I was thinking this part might be a story within the story in a way. But I'm not sure.

I don't love a lot of melancholy, but I often imagine what it'd be to survive some end of the word. You could do a lot of things if you had a whole city to yourself. Like, well I don't really know.... like walking around naked or something.
