Ummm I loved the TDR. I think The Aiel surrounding the Fades or ANY time Moiraine used Balefire. Ummm (cold pricklys of excitment) Though the realization that Sammael rules Illian and the events leading up to that always stay most vividly in my mind.

Verin is all kinds of awesome. When she is with Siuan after the Wonder Girls come back to the Tower she critiques Siuan's newest fish metaphor and finds it more accurate.

 

Also, Siuan openly says to two of the Wonder Girls, "I should be able to trust Leane and Sheriam, at least. But, do I dare? Verin?" She laughs to herself, then, "I already trust Verin with more than my life, but how far can I take it? Moiraine?" She pauses a minute, then, "I have always believed I could trust Moiraine."

 

The Moiraine bit was in the past tense. Siuan does not like being left out of the loop. She was always the one who had a harder time adjusting to changes.

 

She set up the girls to be her hounds and of course is letting them know who among the AS Siuan tends to trust the most, and that makes sense. At first I disliked Siuan for doing that to them, but after NS came out it was obvious that M&S had it worse and really only had each other. But, she trusts the girls a little more than I wish she would for them having run off with the BA. I mean, we know they are main characters and have seen they aren't darkfriends, and Siuan knows that Verin travelled with them and Moiraine found them... but still. I guess she didn't have a choice.

I like Moiraine's reactions whenever one of the Forsaken focuses in on/writes letters/targets her.

WTF did Morgase mean about her talks in Sheriam's study

 

Hmm, I think I remember that part. Morgase is mentioned a couple times to have a temper, like Moiraine did in NS before they Aes Sedai taught her to control it. So my guess is Morgase is thinking Elayne is having to go through the same "break the haughty" her mom and aunt had to go through, with all the beatings and getting whacked with slippers and having to learn humility and submission and is just sarcastically referring to them as "talks".

It is literally the last two pages of the book...Berelain comes in and throws a letter on the table at her (well I don't know if she actually threw it, but it sounds good so I'm keeping it) and it is from Lanfear.
