"The Moiraine Collection"

Hey everyone, I'm new here. My husband got me hooked on the WOT series and Moiraine is by far my favorite character. I find her very inspirational in so many ways. I'm on book 5 right now but my brother in law spilled the beans about Moiraine's fate so I know she's destined go through the door with Lanfear at the end of this book *whimpers*

 

Anyways, I was thinking that a cool idea for a book (perhaps created by fans with copyright laws respected? ) would be one which all the chapters that include Moiraine are extracted and put into one book. Something like "The Moiraine Collection". I thought about this because I love flipping back to the pages that include Moiraine and rereading them. The series is so huge though (not to mention I got most from the library) so its hard to relocate them all. It would be cool if they were all extracted and put into one big book! Then us Mo fans could go back and re-enjoy Moiraine's adventures. It would also give an interesting perspective of how her story has unfolded throughout the series.

 

And of course the whole of New Spring is about Moiraine so perhaps it would be included in its entirety or the collection just start from the Eye of the World.

 

So, what do you all think?

I agree that it would be a really cool idea to have a "Moiraine Collection", but unfortunately I don't think it will happen. However, Moiraine's World does have a little list of sections from Moiraine's point of view, so that's a start which could help you in re-locating your favorite parts. (My own copy of New Spring is much worn from constantly being flipped to the parts I really like, and several of my main series copies have a bunch of dog-eared pages where Moiraine shows up ) If you get around to buying the paperbacks, I'd recommend doing the same, or if you don't want to damage the books then keep a little running tab on which pages/chapters you like so that you can go back to them when you re-read.

Welcome to the board, Liverella. I really like your suggestion. That would make it much easier... I wonder if it could be done by whoever has pdf files of the books. It would make searching for her parts much much easier as well as copy/pasting instead of typing everything in.

This thread reminds me that I was suppose to rewrite the timeline on MW from book four onwards. Oh the shame of not finishing my task!

Hello Liverella. Sounds interesting, but would the entire story make sense if it was just Moiraine. Of course, most of us are pretty much completely befuddled with the "story", so that might be besides the point...
