To be fair, Rand really was messed up after it happened. If the Aiel hadn't interupted him I think he would have felt even worse. He kind of internalized it too, it seemed like. He's a dork, but he probably will never get over it being his fault.

 

Seems like Thom's mourning her too, but maybe he was reading that letter so many times because it was in code or something.

(edited to add) And Lan was wrecked judging by how beat up he was after getting to Myrelle, but he's not the most open about his feelings.

Thank heavens... I thought I was the only one who thought the cover ghastly! Rand looks disproportionate and freakishly huge! And if the woman in blue is Faile, I don't want to read it.

Yes, Knife of Dreams is finally done. Harriet and I completed the editing this past weekend, and today I finished going over the glossary. A day or two to mull it over and make sure there isn't anything else I want to do, and off it goes to [Tor Books']. It seems like a pretty good book, to me. A long-running thread or two finally get tied off
