Yes, well, getting a little more serious (maybe being half serious instead of completely silly!) Thom probably is pretty talented in many things, and he's clever and things! But he makes Momo laugh. She must like people that can do that!

Eep! I agree. Well, teachers should dress modestly for other reasons too! There's a lot of bending down, standing on chairs, running to get a recess ball that's gone into the street, hurrying up and down stairs... it's just not practical or good to let the maitenance guys see your skirt fly up!
I think most older women feel quite icky about dating younger guys, but dirty old men don't feel icky about dating younger women. It's actually icky for anybody! But, once the two people are both in their twenties and older a little age difference is not so bad. A little not being thirty years...

I do disagree with you, Niklas! Momo isn't a kitten at all. She is a girl fox, and girl foxes sometimes do things like a puppy, but mostly like a kitten that has gone to live outside. They would rather chase all the chickens than get a small little bird in a silly cage. The problem must be that she ate them all up and never thought of making a rich one marry her! But, one day Thom fox saw her cough a little and a feather came out, and he was tired and so didn't laugh right away. Momo, squinting through his heavy pipe smoke, only thought that he would make a good mate because of his not making fun, and couldn't quite see what a grey fox he got to be!
See, here is an old picture of Momo being thrown into the water by Lan. What a meanie! You can see that she is part kitten and part puppy.
And here is Thom when he didn't laugh at Momo, but you can see that he was trying not to real hard.
Or! The non-Niklas version - Maybe Moiraine just likes to be in the middle of a bendy limb pretzel while being told a story in High Chant? Maybe she is a clever one after all, and has heard that Thom can make anyone Chant High....

I don't think their lives are so wonderful though. They have to grow up in an environment where all the wrong things are important. Well, I guess they become the wrong things because of how much they are emphasized. They aren't really allowed to play, and everything is arranged very exactly in their lives. They don't get to make mistakes, or aren't given the chance to choose much when they're little, and so when they grow up they play with drugs or choose in silly ways. They got all spoiled but some never got taught the right things.
I'm not crying over the poor little rich and famous kids. It's just that there's a reason why so many go nutto.

I think they may have several that look exactly the same. It is just in case they forget to change their dress for a couple of weeks. No one will know!
It seems like the Forsaken all wear only one or two things too! Lanfear seemed like she just had one dress that she wore when she wasn't pretending to be another somebody! I think Ishy lived in his stink, but Moridin has learned to be a little more neat...

*hugs Tosh* It is okay (we have to find a nickname for you! Do you like to be called something in particular?), sometimes things get intense with subjects like these, but we should all remember that we're here to get into stuff... but also to be welcoming.
This thread is going to be closed, but not because of any one person. It just seems like some very tense things are happening here, and I don't want anyone to feel actually hurt! Maybe we can make a new thread about this later, but make sure to be more fluffy to each other (me especially!).

I have found that the thing that makes me dislike Mat the most doesn't even have anything to do with himself so much as with the people that like him... you know.. on those other sites.
When they like Mat and are all Whitecloaky about other things and hating to Momo it makes me sad, because Momo is actually sparkly and ran around pulling pranks when she was little too. Well, she's not much like him now. But! Yes, it isn't so much Mat himself as people who want to be like Whitecloaks are in the books. 
He's pretty immature, but even then is more enjoyable than Rand stomping around.

Yes, I have too.
But, she comes from a place that is more open about things.. so maybe she might want to! Forward is just bi+straight that means leaning muchly toward men and only some toward women. That's what we agreed! -

Yes, but she hasn't completely changed. She's just not so girlishly squeeing all the time. She still knows how to play and she bragged to Thom about her line of fog over the river! There are other things too. She has a temper still. I think Moiraine is actually a little emotionally immature for her age when it comes to real relationships with people. She only really had Lan as a constant to bounce things off of for a while.
