Because they are unimportant.
Innloine is probably playing with grand-babies. An was probably smart enough to find some quiet hole. Moiraine probably has her eyes and ears keep tabs and sees this a very valid way to maintain family contact. -

I would put her lady friend count at five (Siuan, Myrelle, Sheiram, Sarene, and Anaiya), and all of those were made in the 70s before she left the Tower for Rand hunting.
She seems to be almost-but-not-quite friends with Lady Amalisa. So she doesn't count but I like saying her name. Or maybe they just got it on a couple times, I don't know. I don't judge.
I'd like to think Lan is her bestest buddy.
Mostly because they spent twenty years together. And because I hate Siuan. Probably mostly the latter.(I'm currently suffering from a sleep deprivation headache and cannot be held responsible for whatever I have just typed)

There are other Aes Sedai who thought of Moiraine as a friend and vice versa. Moiraine might not be Miss Popularity but she isn't that friendless. Besides, someone as politically smart as her would know how friendships can help you out when you have difficult tasks.

Moiraine's friends with other Aes Sedai (like Myrelle and Sarene and others whose names I can't spell). Unless we mean the other kind of lady friend.

You know when I brought up aged wine I was thinking of the fact that wine is suppose to get better with age (and more expensive) and sophisticated people (like Moiraine) are always drinking that instead of the lowly beer.

Mat says how the affection in their eyes was true yadda yadda based on what they were saying, so that limits what they were talking about, at least.
Maybe she was talking about all those words from her heart she mentioned in her letter to him, while Thom goes on about how fine a woman she is.
