I do think any issues will be mostly Morgase induced. Moiraine does seem to be a cool cucumber in such situations. I want them to meet up now.

I would very much like Laura to explain her Moiraine/Cadsuane vote.

Ok, a couple of years ago someone elsewhere on the internet mentioned this anime/manga that was kind of like a parody of all those other anime like Naturo/Bleach/Etc where there is this school and the kids are learning to fight...I don't know if they were learning to fight anything specific. Or if they were learning to become "heros" or just master their powers or what.
I know the chances of anyone having any clue is slim but I have to try!

They are kind of like Moiraine/Nynaeve only Morgase is more fiery. I wonder why.
-
I don't think they'd get along. There's Thom, but more than that I just don't think their personalities would mesh, let alone their feelings about each other's countries.
Elayne is like mini-Moiraine in some ways, even though she's Morgase's daughter. Moiraine/Morgase are not too much alike. I actually think Morgase is more prudish than Moiraine, and while Moiraine is stubborn too she tends to be a little more rational (or pragmatic at least). Of course, I am biased towards Mo. :>
I am quoting this so Kaitlin cannot go back and edit out calling Elayne mini-Moiraine and thus admitting to being a mini-Elayne fan.
I'd say Morgase and Moiraine are both irrational, Moiraine just hides it better. I can never forgive her running away from being queen. Also, they both like(d) that old bard so really...how sane are either of them.

Tonight while I was listening to Justin Timberlake, a thought occurred to me: Would Moiraine and Morgase get along? First there is their passive (a little more than passive on Morgase's part) prejudice against the other's nationality. And then there is Thom. I mean, Thom and Bryne even had awkward tense moment even though both were dumped. Well ok, Thom's dumping is a little more dramatic but still. And Morgase still seems a touch bitter over the whole thing. And as much as she tries Moiraine is human and who wants to be around their man's former trollop? Or even more specifically that trollop's daughter 'cause you know Elayne is going to make Thom her adoptive father if given half a chance.

He wants to hump her, alright. And she wants to be humped.
I honestly (I probably already said this, but whatever) thought they wouldn't fall in love until after the rescue. You know, after they spent some quality time together away from Rand. Silly me!

Moiraine would be all over that like chocolate on a Hershey bar.

World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie Wars by Max Brooks.

RJ himself insisted that aside from Far Madding he had attempted to create egalitarian societies, not matriarchies.
The world of channelers is different since for 3000 years male channelers have been hunted down like dogs. At one point Rand notes that at times even Moiraine looks at him with eyes that see the Dragon Reborn, a man who will destroy the world.
I think the White Tower needed a wake up call; they have done nothing to advance the human race and instead of acting on their knowledge cache they sit on it like hens. The problem for me comes in how they are being slapped into action. But then, it seems a lot of the recent examples of Aes Sedai have been less than the Moiraine ideal, and almost, almost, deserving of their punishment.
I also did not like Cad vs Rand, however, it seems to me this is really a setup for Moiraine's return and to highlight Rand's need of her. Still, I did not like it, but then I don't like Rand.
I think RJ was trying to show why these characters needed to work in partnership, unfortunately it usually comes across as "why women need men".

Ghost in the Shell is love. ALL OF IT.
But you know, Vertex has seen like 300 anime and only 100 of those were like DragonBall or Pokemon spinoffs. He might have ideas.

I want to buy a PS3!

Those aren't brown eyes, are they? *nitpicks*

Someone recommend a book for me? I really don't want to reread wot...again.

Oh yes that is true! Her and her secret romance novel love.

I don't like how the Tower ranks its Aes Sedai: I really really hope that changes soon. It was so annoying how Elayne was all "but they have to listen to me: I'm stronger!" with the delegation of Egwene's.
But I love me some Cadsuane. You go, girlfriend!

I've yet to make Moiraine on Sims 3. I'd probably give her Snob because she is one, if a cute one.

You know you wanted this, Kate:

I was so not just jamming to Hanson; I have no idea what would give anyone that idea.

I'm 85% certain my dad has my 2008 W2s. But if I ask he'll know I don't know where they are....

There is also reader bias to consider. He never intended for the women to come across as negative as some fans have found them to be.
