  1. It gets worse as the series goes on. The Kin live as if novices and Accepted, that is to say they avoid even the chance of making babies. You have Alivia who is freaking centuries old who is clueless about sex even in theory.

I don't think anyone in the Two Rivers would have slept with Mat back in the day, to be honest, but clearly he got it on pretty quickly once out in the wild. But of course his wife is a virgin.

For all we know the only man Moiraine has been with is Siuan.

Perhaps I'd feel a little less : about it if we ever encountered a male virgin that wasn't 16.

  2. I am all for matching, except NS and KoD are hardcover and the rest are paperback so they already don't match. That, and if I got the US version I'd be very, very, very tempted to throw away the slipcover which feels so wasteful and almost sacrilegious to a book lover such as myself.

I am just as anal about matching cover art on my books but there comes a point when I have to question that drive of mine.

  3. Amalisa sipped some blueberry tea and licked her lips seductively. Setting down her cup, she glided over towards Moiraine who was lounging on the bed.

"Oh, Moiraine. You are so pretty. I want to do things to you that will make Lan's ears turn red."

    "I can mask the bond--"

"No. I want him to know."

    "Well, all right."

And thus did Lan experience lesbian sex.

    The End.

    Bargain fulfilled.

  4. Oh I wasn't thinking about Faile referring to noises (that was my own aside) I was only speaking of her thinking about Galina's looks. XD Like, that quote exactly. Does that make sense? The rest of the paragraph I don't think had anything to do with sex so I didn't quote it. One tracked minded and all.

Also, I can't imagine anyone wanting to be Therava's lover willingly.

  5. Got my book!

Jesain, a woman who would have been short even if she were not Aiel, with a great mass of hair red enough to make fire look pale and a temper to match.

    Red hair=temper, Kaitlin.

Galina was pretty, but nowhere near beautiful, and Faile did not understand what Therava saw in her, unless it was simply the pleasure of dominating an Aes Sedai.

First off, Faile is one to talk about beauty, and second I can't help but wonder about the ways Therava would choose to dominate. That and I have to wonder how everyone knows about their, um, relationship. Galina screaming perhaps?

  6. Well! Tomorrow I should take the book out of my car to give better "notes" although I don't feel right calling them that since I stopped writing down things back at book six. :badday:

However, I actually am enjoying it so far (about page 300-something). I remember CoT seemed better the second time around (this is my third) but I think that is dependent on reading it right after Winter's Heart, and it doesn't hurt that I know a lot of stuff gets done/comes close to done in book 11.

Everyone mother Elayne is still annoying, though.
