I don't really want to comment on the "woke" side of it, I just...some of the casting choices I don't understand at all. And I don't think they had the actors audition against one another, which makes me wonder about how well they'll actually gel together as a cast once on screen.
So Sophie Okonedo has been formally cast as Siuan. She is a good actress, and I can actually see her in this role so it's a first for me.
Kae Alexander has also been cast as Min, which is a selection I am slightly less enamored with. But we shall see.
So they're making some changes to Perrin's story. Now make no mistake, Perrin is quite possibly the character I care about the least, but I'm uneasy about the random and unnecessary changes to the story. I'm starting to feel like this is one of those "you should never meet your heroes" things, where you shouldn't have your favourite book series televised.
