Is Mat sort of fat in the beginning of the series? I always thought he was slender, but I remember someone saying something like he wasn't...
No, he was quite skinny. Perrin was kind of fat in the beginning. I don't know if that has changed.

I think that blue is a dull colour. I've seen too much of it growing up. My father's working clothes, all the tractors, the floor in my room, the eye colour of most of my relatives. I like wearing navy blue, though.
-
Is there a name for a human plot device?
-
I thought that it was a terrible waste of talent to have her dead. A waste of sensible girls too. Now there are not many left.
Sorry, Dena haters, but I felt sad when she died.
-
Elayne can't be pretty. She's too inbred on both sides. Moiraine is pretty because she's a lovechild and her mother was a scholar, not a stupid noble. Nature has its way to create diversity in DNA. Mat/Mo would technically get, if not gorgeous, pretty and healthy children. I agree.

What! Morgase has only ordered the death of several people!
My mature response:
Who else? Bryne? That's no good.
Why not? She gives him quite a praise in The Great Hunt. Perhaps they have met?
-
Moiraine should hook up with a shienaran guy.
Egwene should get a phallic shaped piece of wood.
Galad should get the same as Egwene.
Everybody should.
Then all the WoT women would be half as hysteric as they are. The men who want it as well.
Galad must have done something REALLY bad that he is covering up and working off by his behaviour.
That wood thingie made me remember a good laugh I had at New Spring. First they walk through an oval doorway
, then they put their hands on the oath rod that is a foot long
and slightly thicker than Moiraine's wrist
. All this takes place in a huge, white tower full with women.
Of course the books are crammed with this stuff, but this part was simply too much.

They call it tabac. Just like the Seanchan kaf, it gets on my nerves. If tea gets to keep its name instead of being named teeh, or something just as bad, why can't the other two?
-
I think Thom just has too much sex, and possibly drugs. I mean, he's WoT's version of a rock star.
That girl in Cairhien in The Great Hunt was just wrong. She had a future before he came into her life. Then she just died. Old rock stars are evil.
How many drugs are there in WoT anyway? Has anybody used more than tobacco?

But I am a Nerd! That is at least a choice of lifestyle. It's refreshing to be what stupid people hate. You don't really choose your own levels of testosteron.
Brynefan is not silly. My initials are HB. That will work. I hate my name.
About RJ's romances. Isn't it strange that Egwene has just jumped from one brother to the other?
Morgase shouldn't be with anybody. She's horrible! (Bryne is spooking around in my head making me say this).
Moiraine should be with somebody who has no clue about manipulation, so both Siuan and Thom are out, leaving Mat. No, just wrong somehow. Somebody else. Tam al'Thor?
-
Thom is also throwing daggers at people. Isn't that worse than keeping it on a stick? But I must say that it takes a lot of skill to succeed.

I've actually reached the conclusion that Siuan and Gareth are identical except for their temperaments. Once they too realise it, they will be much happier. I think that their relationship is rather understandable, because it's developing during some time and they see each other a lot. That instant ignition on Gareth's side that made him follow her was just pure loneliness. Rand/Elayne, now that's weird.
I don't approve of the Nynaeve/Lan combination. The first time I read The Eye of the World I was quite shocked when she suddenly loved him. What possessed her? First she's a grumpy girl usurping her authority, then falling for a man who's constantly scouting miles ahead of the company. When did they actually talk before that?
This discussion is floating away from the actual topic, it seems. Siuan is a man. Who cares? As long as he or she is happy. It's quite old school to claim that all women are the same, or men. I'm supposed to be a girl, yet I'm a hardcore computer geek who only has male friends.

What about Tylin and Mat, it might not have been love but she definitely didn't feel bad about it
Ebou Dar is a different matter. Tylin was not afraid that Mat would walk away from her because of her age. Then she would probably have him killed.
Morgase has contemplated having Tallanvor executed, but she would never have done it.

How have I not read that fanfiction yet?!? Shame on me.
It's very, very new.
Well, it says something that one of the only supporters of T/M is a lesbian... maybe I just can't picture the romance very clearly.Still! He stabs people! He's not your average old guy!
The way Elayne was acting made me cringe on the inside. *blehs*
I don't see the ability to stab people as something good in a potential partner.

I just said 80 because I had no idea how olf Thom was and I don't really care either.
No, no, no! Not Thom! Gareth is about 52. I don't care about Thom either, but I think that he is approaching seventy.
The only woman in WoT who is not falling for an older man is Morgase, and she's really hated herself for it though the difference in age is not that big. I think that RJ is somewhat prejudiced about those matters. Min doesn't count. The difference between her and Rand is not that big.
I'd like a 50+ woman to fall in love with a 25 year old man without feeling bad about it. Women tend to look younger than men anyway.

I meant specifically this site
Of course we are overrunning this page! Google for anything regarding Wheel of Time and you get tons of Swedish hits. I really don't know why we're so crazy about fantasy. I suppose it's because of those liars in the nineteenth century who invented the Vikings and encouraged Hitler and many more to do terrible stuff.
I think that the bald guy is our prime minister, Fredrik Reinfeldt. He showed up in the States recently to pretend that he cares for the climate.
-
One theory is that Moiraine makes Thom believe that she likes him, so that he will save her. After that, she's off. Not to Siuan, though.
-
I know that this thread seems to slowly die away in terrible agony, but I've made a Moiraine/Thom fanfic that will satisfy both sides. She dumps him... in an old folks home. Hooray!
But I think that T/M is a whole lot less disgusting than when Elayne was all over him.

Ishamael's life is rather unique, so there's no way to tell if he's particularly insane or if anybody would act as he does in the same situation. I think that he handles it quite well. He lets out his frustration on rats instead of ruining his plans. That's smart.
Lanfear is insane, for a good reason. She does things for her own good instead of thinking about the consequences.
-
Or were you talking about the bald guy? In that case I need more info. There are many bald men in politics.
-
Well hes what, 80 years? So I'm guessing it would have to be blind eyes in this case.
That is not true. He is at most 52. That's younger than my mom and only five years older than Lan. A bit too old for me, but not for 40+ Siuan.

Oh, the FAQ. It has it's uses too.. but can be inaccurate sometimes!
Welcome, Brynefan.
What do you like to be called?
I just saw your link in your profile too. A fanfiction writer!
Ah, yes. A fan fiction writer. Call me whatever you want. My real name is rather original and would compromise my identity combined with my nationality.
My friends call me an overly positive maniac, but that's their opinion.
Yup, we Swedes are definitely overrunning every page on the Internet. Thanks to the last government. Now I'm not so sure anymore.
Lously liberals tearing down our social security.
Siuan is probably female, but with masculine traits, like a cold, logical brain. In the same way as Bryne is somewhat female and makes a better general by reading his opponents. He's plain, not ugly. Many plain people look hot through certain eyes.

I said kind of fat and that does not have to mean really fat. Most men who aquire muscles by work tend to put on weight as well. Only athletes get those purely muscular bodies. And my brother, but he's eating too little.
