I'm a bit touchy about Gareth because he reminds me of someone, a lot, so I've read the parts concerning him more carefully than any normal reader would. That's why I became Octavia the Headbanger at fanfiction.net, after all. *Sticks note to my forehead: "Complete that Thom story!"*
Psychological truth: What faces appear inside someone's head is a result of what is already in there.

I made this last week or the week before. Doesn't matter. Surprise! It's supposed to be Gareth. At least he looks British. I'm not happy with the chin.

I don't own a scanner, so I have to take pictures with my crappy cellphone and edit them a lot. I haven't cheated.

To Brynefan-
I could see that. Though Brendan Gleeson comes to mind as well.
Are you serious?
I have no idea who that person is, but I found pictures using google. Never! Over my dead body! He looks like Onslow in Keeping Up Appearances.
I'm looking for a better Bryne to put on that list. Clive Owen might be a bit too tall. I've heard people suggest Colin Firth, but I think he's a bit too soft. I don't really know of that many actors. For the last year I've traded my TV time for computer time, and I tend to watch South Park and Family Guy when I do.

Christian Bale is better. I shouldn't be complaining. It's better with a good actor that looks a bit off than a bad look-alike.

I was referring to many separate occasions by using those in particular. It's like she completely altered her personality to fit in the Tower, and when she was no longer a part of it she got really confused.
And by the way. That icon could be Siuan expressing her love to Moiraine by licking her shoes clean.
-
Hello!
I'm, quite partially, discussing Siuan and Bryne most of the time. You've been warned, Asmodean82. But I don't bite.

Jude Law as Moridin? How? Why? I'm just shocked, because that's definitely not how I would picture him. Did I read correctly?
-
I don't know about Siuan. Sometimes she seems like she's done everything, and sometimes she appears worse than Egwene. In New Spring she doesn't mind showing her legs and in The Fires of Heaven she nearly cries while exposing half of her stockings. Who is she really?

For lustful heretics like me, it's the sixth level.
Sixth Level of Hell - The City of DisYou approach Satan's wretched city where you behold a wide plain surrounded by iron walls. Before you are fields full of distress and torment terrible. Burning tombs are littered about the landscape. Inside these flaming sepulchers suffer the heretics, failing to believe in God and the afterlife, who make themselves audible by doleful sighs. You will join the wicked that lie here, and will be offered no respite. The three infernal Furies stained with blood, with limbs of women and hair of serpents, dwell in this circle of Hell.

A test is no better than the person making it. It's not meant for much more than fun. The accompanying piece is an amusing documentary in three parts. I agree that I snarled a bit at the spatial tests, and not until later I realised that since no one was checking I could have written Swedish words instead. I also miscalculated the amount of money to split at the last test.
THAT documentary was not the most interesting thing we watched. I don't think that you can't be good at both reading maps and emotions.

I'm so happy I studied psychology! The teacher was rather strange, in an amusing manner, but the lessons in the spring were the laziest, and also the most interesting ever. Only taped, yes TAPED, documentaries on brains and babies. Very enlightening.
This is a test on male/female brains. The theoretic part is quite fascinating, and if everybody knew about it the world would be a less prejudiced place. Yes, really.
I was quite sure to begin with that my brain is more or less androgynous, and my result was just that: 0, in between man and woman. A link to the test, which should not take too long to complete: http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sex/add_user.shtml
RJ should read about this

Me does not think Moiraine has been with another women either... Unless it was in pure self defence.
Me neither. New Spring is proof enough that she prefers men, and thinking of how she was looking at cute boys while being pillow-friends with Siuan, she doesn't seem to look upon their relationship as more than very friendly friendship.
But she did send Siuan back to the Tower in the end. I looked upon that as a sort of break-up.

I like wearing brown, and mostly behave like a Brown, but I don't really feel that way. Being Green sounds nice, except the battle part of it. Yellow sounds ok.

Oh, it continues! I read the entire thing on fanfiction.net in - March, I think. I'll have to re-read it.
-
Just a slight correction on Siuan.
Also, Siuan jokes with Min at one point and says she doesn't have time to take a lover. You can't rule out women because it doesn't specifically rule them out by that comment.Right after that she says "There's no time for winking at the men when you're busy bailing the boat." It could be just another saying, but usually she means what she says even if it's wrapped up in different sorts of fish.

This is scandalous! I've missed out everything except that last meeting in The Shadow Rising. What on earth was I thinking about back then? Not Bryne, for sure. Not until The Fires of Heaven. Probably Rand's exaggerated "problems". Oh, I hate him so much.
Go Thom! He's only getting cooler in my mind.
-
I thought that it was Min, but I didn't really look that hard. Thom, on the other hand, is brilliant and Elaida too.
Was that Mat who looked all Amish? Strange.

I thought Aragorn lived longer because he had elven blood?
True. Did I dement that? I only pointed out that old, royal blood returns from the west to fulfil prophecy. Or so I think.
And now: Why the Seanchan are NOT like nazis.
Truly, racial hygiene to the extent of Nazi Germany cannot be in a pre-Darwin society. The basic knowledge of evolution and DNA were horribly abused in the 19th century and forward by imperialists who wanted to think that the "races" are competing as different species are, just to give them the right to claim colonies without feeling any guilt. There are no human races, just variations. DNA cannot be changed, at least not at will in an already living person, but in the WoT world, that fact is unknown. They may believe that a person's blood actually can change through a ritual. And in that world, who can say what is possible?
I should just go back to the books and continue with chapter three of my Thom story on fanfiction.net.

I'll be back with a correct theory once I've read the necessary parts in The Great Hunt and The Shadow Rising. I think that I was too eager back there. I remember that I got the impression of it when I read TGH so many years ago. I'm also a bit confused about on what I should provide details. I'm the sort of person who tends to write too much about absolutely nothing, which I think I've proved with this whole matter.
To be fair, the Seanchan reminds a lot of Tolkien too, with the line of kings returning from the west. Aragorn is one of these, and he lives longer and is a lot taller than the others. That is probably what the Seanchan are about too: preserving a bloodline. Any noble family can be accused of the same thing, and that doesn't make them nazis.
The Ogier resembles of less gracious and overgrown elves, if I look upon the matter that way. And that would have more to do with fantasy. Pehaps I should start a new thread. This has nothing to do with white and pale WoT people.

Not listening to anything now (my brother's computer and it's rather empty) but when I get back to my own I'll probably listen to Bruce Dickinson's "Freak" and "The Magician", among others, and probably some old Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath. Dio's Lock Up the Wolves album sounds tempting as well.
I'll be singing in the rain.

Blueberries.

A non channeler COULD use a sword like that if the flows were cut off. Like I said, it's splitting hairs. Aes Sedai are good at that.
It's probably a waste of time and energy to make an Air sword, and no non-channeler could take it from Siuan, but my point is the type of weapon. A sword is a sword, even if you intend to slice bread with it.

A younger Sean Connery would be perfect.
