That must have been an abnormally sharp pen.
Nope. Just an abnormally stupid idea combined with too much force. I was just a child then, so I might have exaggerated it a lot over the years. It didn't go too deep though. Palms are quite hard.
But the other, similar things, have left nasty scars. Like my poor, left middle finger. It has been partially crushed in a door and nearly got it's tip chopped off. Unlucky, I guess.
Hmm. I think that my left side is cursed. I've also sprained that foot three or four times, but never the right foot.

I can't say that I'll never pierce anything. Accidents happen. I nearly pierced my palm with a pen once.

They look like evil Hobbits.

- Blackadder (DVD)
The first series is just - odd. Baldrick actually has cunning plans and Edmund is just a whiny brat. It had its moments, though.
South Park, as always. I don't care that they are re-runs.
Finally, "new" episodes of The Simpsons.
I'm not comfortable in the role as idle watcher.

I installed Gutsy three days ago. I don't care for effects since I'm aiming for functionality and escaping Microsoft.
Now is a good time to install Ubuntu, I agree. The restricted drivers are essential for my Broadcom wireless network to work and some months ago it would have been a lot harder, or impossible, to set it up.

Oh, can't they be one and the same?
P.S. BryneFan, who is that a picture of (your avatar)? Looks like the lead singer to Iron Maiden!
It is. Actually, the name Brynefan is inspired by a fansite called Brucefans.
I love his music and he was really cute until about 1999, (now he's just cute in the sense of a furry animal).

I'd better cut down on kinks and start living.

Computers are stupid machines that do the calculating we tell them to. We're the smart ones, and I just pointed out that souls have nothing to do with dreams.
I don't know what a soul is for other people, but to me personality has a lot to do with it, and it is personality that determines what the meaning is of all the junk we drag up when we're asleep. That could be one interpretation.
If we're not allowed to dream however, like if some evil nazi wakes us regularly before we get into the REM, it will kill us in the long term.
And since dreams are a great way to escape the dull superego, it's fun too.

I'm usually a very calm person, but last time I freaked out I felt like killing people. I was on my way home from town and in good time to catch the train with the bus I jumped on, but on the next stop about 50 kids filled the entire bus, making it stand still for five minutes! And then the red traffic lights...
To the point is, that delayed me an hour and it takes nearly two hours to get home! Those imbecil kids could have walked.

A real WoT dream this time. I'm having quite a cold, and probably fever, so that means nasty dreams.
Thom and Moiraine were in it, strangely enough. The only thing I remember clearly is Thom's messenger avatar: a cartoon version of himself. After that it all took place on a road nearby that usually pops up in my nightmares. From there, the actual plot eludes me.

But Min jumped on him.
"I knew this would happen, and that you would try to run away," she said and pushed Rand back into the kitchen.
"Can I at least get some paper towels?" he shouted.

But Woody the buffoon will hide in skirts, like I think he did in the film. Then Bryne will stop looking and drink the salted tea Siuan brings him and they'll forget about the whole thing
.

*sudden Pulp Fiction flashback*
Bring out the gimp.
I haven't seen that one. Perhaps I should.
-
Great, I thought I had repressed every memory from that film, but it comes back to me. Now Woody the buffoon will haunt my dreams.
-
I love GIMP

I turned the plotting look into a mad stare instead.

Loki once cut off Sif's hair! Though to be fair he later helped replace itwith hair made of gold crafted by the dwarves, he also got Odin a spear that never misses. But still, thats just rude.
Not only that it was his sister (turned into a wolf by Odin) that killed him.
The brother that is.
I just got a bit inspired by some Manowar songs and read a few chapters in a book I borrowed at the local library. It was a long time ago and perhaps that author was a bad storyteller.
-
Wow. I haven't read that much mythology, but from what I did take the time to get through I came to the conclusion that I really like Loki
. He knows what it's like to give birth, and for a mare it's worse than for any other animal. All the women, except Thor's wife, seemed to enjoy spending time with him too.
As if he didn't suffer enough, the gods tied him to a rock with his own son's guts and put a snake in the ceiling, dripping venom into his eyes. That's malicious.
Happy 1000 posts

That would explain a lot.

Nynaeve emerged from the closet, somehow managing to pull her braid while dragging the disappointed men behind her.
"What are you doing!" Mistress al'Vere shouted. Nynaeve didn't have time to answer before the door flung open.
-
Then Perrin walked in through the shredded door, looking for his axe.

"lapphund"? Hmm, we call dogs that are small and meant to be picked up often "lapdogs" (or lap-hound) since they can sit easily on your lap; maybe that's the English equivalent of your word.
No, that is definitely not it. Lappland is the northernmost part of Sweden, and I think that those dogs are originally used to chase reindeer. Not meant to be picked up at all. My aunt's dog is of that race, and I thought of her because she's just as cute as Clyde. Something with the eyes.
Sorry to hear about the fire.

Egwene.
Ah, of course
. Damn her.
