Heh I haven't read the book yet (it was sold out everywhere in town for the first time) but I know what happens to Siuan since I have a habit of reading spoilers and I took it a lot harder than I should initially, because it sounded so random. Now I was 99% sure that Min's viewing was definitely not fulfilled yet with that lame incident in The Gathering Storm and I had a feeling that Gareth pretty much turned them both into "dead meat" by saying that they would marry once it was all over *facepalm* but one can always hope until proven wrong.
Now I've heard a bit more details at least, and I sense that Siuan's destiny was more planned out. I've read that she asked Mat already in Tar Valon if he was ready to run into a burning building or something, and I know that in some book Siuan either talked or thought about her uncle Huan who died while running into a burning house to save some children (or something similar). So, if she looked up to him all her life her actions make sense. In a way it gets easier to handle knowing this at least as I wait for the damn book to arrive

Hehe, I pretty randomly thought I should stop by and say hello
*reads last few replies* Meetups are great! I went to US last year to meet a bunch of people IRL and it was the best freaking thing I've done! Good luck to you all!

I'm double posting just to say that I suddenly remembered that Uno is awesome (although he only seems to know two or three curses, which is pretty silly). Anyway, I had to draw him.
I hope he'll have some epic screen time in book 14. He is in Tar Valon at the moment at least.
Perhaps he can fill Mat in on where to get cool eyepatches.
Don't know what's gotten into me, but I drew Bryne too.

About the Whitecloaks:
I knew before that they are a bunch of corrupt idiots, but during the trolloc attack I realized the full extent of it. These people have been running around in the safer parts of the world, harassing random persons they thought were darkfriends, while not at all trying to fight real Shadowspawn. Galad got their morale all up for fighting in the Last Battle, but they were totally unprepared for the DO's forces. It's horrible and sad at the same time.

Yaaaay! I got the book! I did nothing but read between 1pm and 7pm
I even took the bus home instead of the train to get more time for undisturbed reading.

Galad will tell Berelain to be more honest and she will tell him to loosen up. It will be marvelous.
In KoD, after killing Valda, Galad thought that the only thing that could make things right again was to see Morgase alive. Aww.
-
Hmm, did Sanderson pimp Thom? Since he hunkified Bryne I kind of remember him improving on Thom's descriptions a bit. RJ just couldn't describe the older guys as other than gross.
And the other Damodred:
Faile challenges Berelain to a fight to the death over Perrin. After bluffing, and Berelain falling for it, she tells Berelain to squash the rumors of Perrin and Berelain. Berelain says that they need to become friends and they discuss Berelain going after someone else. When she sees Galad, she is totally in love as is he.I had hoped for at least a few small complications, but it seems Galad/Berelain is yet another of those "love at first sight" stories and will probably lack a lot in detail. OK I'm glad it happens at least
Just thinking of it, it's no wonder they're attracted to each other since they look a lot alike and both are beautiful. Also, good for Galad that he finally focuses on someone who won't just sit in some corner and smooth her skirts, sighing over him while not once picking up on his invitations.
Galad: Let's go for a romantic walk in the garden!
Egwene: Hmmmmmm? *Dreamy looks but does nothing*
Galad: Let's have a romantic picnic!
Berelain: Yes, let's do i... that. *Puts on even sexier dress and brings wine*

She'd better kick ass in the next book then!

Hah Nynaeve of course... don't think anyone else is bad enough to make you ashamed, except perhaps Gawyn but it's hard to be like him. I haven't killed my teachers and ridden out with a teen army in my life.
-
I used to say Galad differently in the past, but I've said it like this for a while now. Glad I was correct at last.

Nekkid is hard without reference photos though, and those are hard to find
If I do that there's a good chance I'll feel like slashing him with Trom though. I suspect more and more they're the WC version of pillow friends.

*Looks back at thread* Ugh!
Finally something new. Chapter 2 inspired me.

Naked Galad in warrior pose!

It's so sad. I think it was Mat who said from Elayne's descriptions Galad was everything a mother would want her son to be. He's intentionally trying to be a perfect son and be different from his plotting father
He can't know for sure why Tigraine just abandoned him. Finding out what really happened to her would help him too, even if it could also be a painful discovery.

Actually, I'm not optimistic like that. At least 65

I think good old Ishie was described as looking like a man in his prime too. That's probably supposed to be JUST before you start crumbling with age and your hair turns all white xD There sure is an age bias in favor of old men. Meanwhile Min is an "older and experienced woman" compared to the other Randgirls.
Siuan wasn't young enough for Bryne with 10 years of difference so she had to look like 25 and half his age... yeah. Shame on RJ. There it's probably just as much for breeding purposes though, which just makes it worse. She'll drown in kids before he dies way before her and gives her that "my warder is gone" depression in the middle of that.
How long can Moiraine be with Thom? If he's 70 already... such horrible fates everyone's facing.

Doesn't get easier when your little sister hates your guts either
He really is a saint for being so patient with her.
Seeing Morgase alive would do him good. Well it would do Gawyn good too since then his main reason for hating Rand gets proven wrong once and for all.

I've been re-reading Galad scenes and noticed that he has not actually done anything annoying. D:
EotW: He finds an armed stranger in the garden with his two siblings, one who is the future queen and the other the future first prince of the sword. What does he do? He does NOT attack him on sight, but starts reasoning with Elayne that it is not a good situation and that a colored band means nothing if Rand doesn't mean it (which is true since Rand had no clue that red meant he liked the queen he didn't know he had back in the backward Two Rivers). Calling the guards discretely is NOT an act of malice here. It's not only the RIGHT thing to do but the reasonable thing. Apparently she has a history of doing similar things because Galad says: "I am aware of your fondness for strays, Elayne." Then he proceeds to point out the obvious: What the heck would a loyal subject of the queen do in the palace garden uninvited? His logic is completely flawless.
"I hate him," Elayne breathed. "He's vile and full of envy."
It's obvious that she exaggerates, because he does not turn them in as witches once he's a Whitecloak like Elayns says he will. She doesn't actually know him. All she knows is that she dislikes him and she won't ever agree that his vision of right just might be more right than hers. At least sometimes.
TGH: He uses his shirtlessness and good looks on Egwene and immediately asks her out. (So much for uptight.)
TDR: He tries to use his looks on Nynaeve, but fails. (He's cunning, that guy)
TSR: He asks "Elmindreda" out for a dance. (Exactly HOW can people think he's a virginal moral idiot? Because he's a Whitecloak, yes. That passage exactly about not pampering the flesh sounds bad in that way, but perhaps it was ripped from its context. A little.)
TFoH: He helps Elayne and Nynaeve escape from a place about to erupt in war. He values their (especially Elayne's) safety enough to actually spark the conflict.
KoD: Finally a POV and it's pretty awesome.
Elayne only hates him because while he sees safety issues, she does not. That doesn't make him evil, it means she's incredibly irresponsible (news?). And Gawyn is the middle child who has to agree with both at the same time.
Galad: Stay away from Rand al'Thor!
Elayne: I want your babies Rand!
Gawyn (once let loose in the world without his siblings' opinions forced on him): KILL! BERSERK! DEATH TO AL'THOR!
And still Elayne prefers Gawyn?

What I found most hilarious is that the genitals are extremely detailed while the rest of the bodies are definitely not. It's like the bodies are only there to give a vague idea of identity.
OK here's something I found that will soothe your bleeding eyes: http://manweri.deviantart.com/art/WoT-Lan-and-Moiraine-179506964

http://saidarsaidin.deviantart.com/art/Wheel-of-Time-Nudes-179075578 This is something you don't see every day
Mature rating for a reason. Uh... yeah. Don't look too close at Thom's genitals or they'll eat your soul. Rand is damn gross too. In fact this has more ugly than pretty in it overall.
-
I haven't thought about how other people than Siuan would react. I bet she'll be thrilled though, and they'll build a little pillow fortress with a "no boys allowed" sign, somewhat regretting giving up the pillow-friendliness.
Gareth and Thom can play stones or something meanwhile.

Awww
Thanks. And a late HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Aleyna.

Ooh! Finally found a definition for "snubbed up", which was used in the "man in white" viewing. People all over have said "he won't return her feelings since it says she'll be snubbed" but in the context snub UP it means more like TIE UP! This is good
I'm really curious about this potential Berelain/Galad stuff. If nothing else it will surely annoy the hell out of both Elayne and Egwene and that's awesomeness.

Here, have a Momo :3 I thought of this place while drawing her. *Has just started re-reading EotW*
