Ah Tosh, you have a way of putting something to bed whilst raising it from the grave in a way the only makes the reader crave more.

So here's yet another game of Whimsy by your Forsaken Gleeman!
Ekho and Maire pointed out to me that RJ was vague about his later titles (revealing nothing of their content) This got me thinking... It could be fun to RENAME the books we so enjoy.... Making them a little more literal, or simply putting greater importance on a different part of said book.
I'll go first-
TEoW- Long walk to Destiny
TGH- Wheel of Fortune
TDR- The Forsaken Rise, Moiraine catches a fish!
TSR- When Mirrors Attack!
TFoH- The Lighting of Heaven, In the Dragons Wake
LoC- Law and Order, of The Aes Sedai
CoS- Mat gets Nailed
PoD- The Bowl of Winds Unleashed (Finally)
WH- Blazing Beacon
CoT- Hey Look! A Blazing Beacon
KoD- Letters from an Aes Sedai

I will say I like the title (as it stands now) Memory of Light.
That implies a lot that the light is something that needs to be remembered.

Ahh the Game. Dark stuff, but powerful secrets. Dating is a strange beast with many many contradictions. But a good read, have fun!

.....The Crossroads of Twilight........ The first of the series I'm seriously considering skipping or skimming completely. I liked the first 400 pages.... but as nothing has really happened beyond "Rand is doing something" (not even much in the way of character development)

Elayne is riding, now she's walking, now she's holding Avienda's hand, now she's taking a bath................
I may just read events online and jump to Knife of Dreams which I'm told is very good. Suggestions???

Yes. And as far as the deep descriptions, well RJ became more ponderous and frustraiting as he went on. Though COT is the only book I'm really having trouble with. It's 800 pages of everyone pacing impatiently (like the reader)
So Sanderson may be a good wrap up. Here's hoping anyway.
On a side note does any one have any books they liked more then the critics led to believe? I could start a thread there, mainly because I think some of the later stories are unfairly distained (mainly Wintersheart)
I really liked that one.

Oh! My heart goes out to you Brynefan. I've had a battle with kidney stones now a few times. It's all chemical makeup and imbalance and YES, to everyone else. They can be INSANELY painful. Like passing a shard of glass.
I prefer to call them the Scythes of God.
I have two now as a matter a fact.
