Randomness can breed strange long lasting results.
For instance, take a gallon of milk. One simple gallon. Now add a desk and a duck and observe how they could be used to curdle the gallon of said milk. It's not that the milk has to do anything, per-say, but the desk would most likely need to set in a temperate environment. The duck would be a lovely touch as the milk does it's thing (which again is nothing)
At a glance the far reaching possibilties seem as simple as the milk will no longer be drinkable. BUT AH HA! The duck will most likely poop either on or around the desk, which will ultimately sap the already faltering sanitation of the area. Now you have a smelling desk, curdled milk, and yes, the duck has flown away.
Anyone else want to discuss that which is random??????

Of course it'll be a cliffhanger (like Jan said) it ensures our continued patronage. If it's the first real act of the climax I just hope it's paced well. I DON'T CARE HOW THE SEA FOLK SEE IT. The many many perspective changes can be so bothersome. Sometimes they worked, but I often just felt taken out of the action.
