Hideous childhood outfits

omg i have many childhood clothes disasters... mostly involving hideous coloured leggings... and the odd terrible party dress! but the things i remember most are those long white socks with the patterns in... not actually lacy but look like lace! and the t-bar shoes i had to wear for school!

 

talking of which... what were people's school uniforms like? at primary school i had a blouse, pinafore, blazer and winter & summer hats, and then a summer dress in summer. all complemented by the aforementioned hideous white socks.

 

secondary school was better, just a skirt, shirt and tie... and sixth form was smart... now i can wear anything i like!

 

so... other uniform memories??

In my school we don`t have to wear uniforms.So I can wear whatever I want at school.

I had a terrible orange, brown and maroon jumper my first year of school, and then we moved to a different parish. There it was the far superior blue jumper with navy knee socks and "clodhoppers" - which were shoes that were so big and clunky they could remove soil and replace it in a different location.

 

I wasn't in Catholic School all of my life, though, so I got to wear what I wanted later on. But, we'd be sent home if our skirts were more then two inches above our fingertips in high school. I was always walking home to change, because I was into the short skirt/long boot thing back then. The nineties.

I went to about eight or nine different schools, but fortunately had pretty okay uniforms. My favourite was pink blouse and grey pinafore. Later, when we moved north, it was white blouse, and grey and maroon divided skirts for summer, and the usual skirt-tie-blazer in grey and maroon in winter.

 

And yup, we always had those horrible knee-length socks, though in high school it was fashionable to wear them folded down to the ankles! And we had to wear those horrible leather shoes with straps or t-bars too!

C`est la vie...Carlsberg(I really like this nickname) But yeah,it`s great to wear whatever you want.Did they let you to have long nails and to polish them in...blue,for example?

I studied in the same school from the first grade to the 10th.

We had a white shirt and Khaki pants(from the 7th grade onwards, till then shorts), a blue tie, navy blue socks and leather shoes and a Navy-blue blazer to go with it.
