Hideous childhood outfits

they didn't... but we did anyway!! we had this one teacher who used to keep nail polish remover in her desk, and would take your nail polish off for you if she caught you with it. but the others were ok... we weren't supposed to wear jewellery, either.

Blazer in Bangalore !!

 

We had to wear it every day!! But we used to manage to wear it only for special occasions,... oh and I forgot to mention that we used to wear all white on wed/sat.

It's a wierd Indian thing! White on Saturdays or perhaps some other day is pretty much universal! We had to wear these ghastly coloured scarves denoting our houses, too!

Jan got it right. It is still followed in most schools. We had badges denoting our groups.

I found the most hidious thing I had to wear! The suit I wore to baptism! The slacks were a size to small, the shirt was too long(tucking it in was a nightmare, imagine stuffing your pants at age 8, I thought I looked more than ridiculous), and the tie, don't get me started on the tie!

what i meant was that i didnt wear ani uniforms, i wore whatever i wanted and by that i always used to wear tracks and stuff for it was easier to play bball or footy in them

We had four groups or houses(pretty much like your Phi-Delta-Phi,etc.),.. Green,Red, Yellow and Blue. I was the group captain for yellow in my last two years at school.

Okay, here are some hideous clothes I was forced to wear:

1. School sports day... ghastly outfit for drill presentation... there was a yellow skirt (not visible, thankfully). And what's more, they made my parents pay for the whole thing!! Age: 7.

 

2. When they wanted me to go all traditional! I was an awkward kid as it was, and this was the worst! The outfit was a gift from an aunt and I *had* to wear it! Age: 14?

 

3. With parents. Not too much wrong with what I'm wearing, it's the expression! Age: 3.

Oh, Jan! You were so adorable! It certainly negates all of the puffy sleeve hideousness of the first number. You do not look happy in the second one, but still so cute. And the expression in the third one is not too bad. You're still adorable there. How awful for you to have to wear what you obviously hated. Parents are totalitarians!

I'm not gonna put my photo on the internet but my most ridiculous outift numbers three throuhg one.

1: Fairy outfit. It had a tight top and a skirt made of dregs of see throuhg cloth.

2:My red coat. I was two and my dressed me up in a red coat that reached my ankles. I looked so old.

3: One of the skirts I once wore. It was a wrap around and kept falling aprt at one side so I had to safety pin it.
