I doubt it. There's going to be some kind of apocalypse... most probably but i don't think that there would be another breaking of the world in the next few Ages.

Well, he's suppose to fight the Dark One in some Last Battle, yes? I'd call that pretty fantastic...

I keep getting the impression he's doing that alone, in such a way no one will know until he's dead, because... then his little girls will all feel that bond snap with him going into death spilling his blood on Shayol Gul.

I don't understand something about the Last Battle. I can't actually see him fighting with the Dark One. The Great Lord () isn't a human and isn't a thread in the Pattern. He is like the Creator so I don't see how a human can fight him. I think that he is just going to be sealed again like in the previous Age.

And about the spilling of the blood - this doesn't mean that he is going to die 100%. He might just get severe wounds or smth like that. If that happens, however, I'm going to curse RJ... :-)

However Rand manges to do whatever he's going to do, I bet it'd be a good mark for the end of this Age and the beginning of the next.

Interesting point. How's this for a theory: Rand will fight him only after his own death?!

Rand dying in any way/shape/form for any reason = always good.

I don't remember what we were talking about, but at one point the Pattern was mentioned.

 

I think of time in this world as fixed circular' date=' but with a drifting variation. There are slight differences in the Pattern each time through so that if you thought of the Pattern as a tapestry and held up two successive weaves, you couldn't see any differences from a distance, only close up, but the more time turnings between tapestries, the more changes are apparent. But the basic Pattern always remains the same.
