I loved the blueberry tea metaphor xD Even though I liked in better as a lesbo metaphor in the books. CATMWLT is hilarious, as always! ;P We're lucky to have two updates so quickly.

@ Kaitlin: lol, Elaida would make a good daddy... ifyaknowwhatimean. :ahug:

Oh, what's that about the blueberry tea metaphor?!

I think I mentioned it before. Lemme find it for you.

I giggled at the scene with Galina and Erian near the end [of LoC] after they kidnap Rand. Galina thinks how pretty Erian is and hits on her, offering to bring Erian to her tent for some "blueberry tea", but Erian says she doesn't want any "blueberry tea", so Galina goes back to her own tent to "drink that blueberry tea by herself". ...I can't be the only person who thinks "blueberry tea" was a euphemism. :ahug:

I don't know if that's what Marie was going for, but it's the first thing I thought of when I saw it mentioned alongside Raul's "masterful hands" ;P

Episode Eight - Frozen

Moiraine had weeped when Nynaeve "died" but in truth she hadn't actually missed the girl. Not in any measurable way at least. As such, Nynaeve's sudden presence at the palace was very much an irritant. Thom joining her sparked a flash of jealousy--she had already stolen Lan and now she was working on Thom!--but she quickly suppressed it. In Matrim's current mood he might have suspected untrue motives on her part. And maybe some not so untrue ones.

"Lan wouldn't do that, not with her. Of course not. Of course not! There are no curves to her, first of all...." Nynaeve appeared to be talking to herself or thinking out loud. Or maybe she was just crazy like Rand, Moiraine really wasn't sure.

"Nynaeve," Moiraine tried to put honey in her voice but it was hard. So she had no curves, did she! "Nynaeve, child, there really was no need for you to come all this way over such a silly rumor. Thom, honestly, you should have known better than to believe such things; you could have told her the truth of it! If I was to have an affair I would make sure no one living could speak of it."

"So you are saying you would have an affair?" Not only did Thom look hopeful, Matrim walked in right when he said it. With Lan.

Nynaeve went moon-eyed at the sight of Lan and seemed to forget everyone else in the room, while Matrim walked over to Moiraine and slid his arm around her waist. Most indecent.

"Moiraine seems to want to keep this secret, but I just have to share. I'm bursting from the knowledge!" Matrim paused for dramatic effect. "Moiraine is with child."

Moiraine expected some sort of cutting remark from Nynaeve, but instead Lan was the first to speak: "Is it mine?"

Elayne was furious. Furious! Raul had no right! Romanda had no right! Furious rage filled Elayne!

She had felt Raul doing something...heated...through the Warder bond, but assumed he was just enjoying a solo act. Except when she found him he was with that Trollac-faced Yellow! He at least had the decency to look ashamed; Romanda just sniffed and told her to leave so she could get dressed.

Elayne was pacing a hole into her pathetic excuse of a dwelling, but there was nothing else for her to do. She had already gone to check up on Elaida and Siuan, had already spanked them twice each out of sheer principle. Her twins were perfectly miserable in their lessons. Even the village people were staying clear of her. Without access to the One Power getting in a fight with Romanda might end very painfully for Elayne, and Raul was staying as close to Romanda as he could as if he knew Elayne was hunting for someone to kill.

Flinging her purse against a wall, the contents spilled out and in the middle was a certain flecked ring with one edge. Perhaps it was time to arrange a meeting between old friends.

Cadsuane was under arrest. Not for the first time, but it galled nonetheless. It was cheating of al'Vere to use a Circle! Cheating! And it was not as if Cadsuane had broken any laws. Recently. Unless one counted being disrespectful to the Amyrlin, which Cadsuane most certainly did not.

Of course an Aes Sedai, even an Aes Sedai that had been arrested, couldn't be expected to spend time in a cell. Instead, she was confined to what would be her rooms if she had ever enjoyed being stuck in the Tower. No matter how much silk there was, it still felt as a cell.

She had protested on the grounds that she was a mother and her child needed her, but all that had resulted in was Lelaine herself delivering Kaitlin with nurse in tow to the rooms. Bloody Blue had the nerve to give a smug smile. Until Cadsuane mentioned Kaitlin's father. That always seemed to disturb people.

"This is all Rand's fault," Cadsuane said to the air for the thousandth time. Kaitlin shot her a look that would have been called accusatory on an older child. "Well it is! Oh, what do you know." Rising, she went over to pour herself some tea, not that she was in the mood to drink it. She needed to think of a way out of this latest fumble. But all she came upon were dead ends; al'Vere was a smart girl when she put her mind to it.

This was a very bad day for Cadsuane.

After the confrontation with Moiraine, Lan attempted to convince Nynaeve that he wasn't the father of Moiraine's bastard and was simply just trying to tweak Mat's nose.

"It just slipped out; I've gotten so used to being evil to him I didn't even realize what I was saying."

Nynaeve tried very hard to be angry at him, but surprisingly, she couldn't work up the energy for fury. Very strange. "Lan, I never honestly thought you would share your bed with her, but all the same! You must stop this nonsense!"

Lan smiled warmly at her--well as warm as Lan could. "Of course, wife. We are in public."

So he was going to start that mess again, was he? Well. He could do entertaining things with his mouth besides gossip. Perhaps it wouldn't be too bad to let him take over the bedroom again.

When Asmodean heard his sentence he cried like a newborn babe. Egwene felt nothing, as was to be expected. On the morrow he would be executed for apparently the second time. Hopefully this time he would stay dead. That still left the question of what to do with Rand al'Thor.

Episode Nine - Traffic

Romanda stared at the silky piece of parchment resting on the table. She stared at it as if was a viper. The Amyrlin Seat--that child--had summoned her to Tar Valon. Summoned! Her! Romanda!

Even though she most surely did want to leave Light-forsaken Emond's Field and return to the Tower, the conditions al'Vere had set out turned every thing upside down and caused her to want to remain in the village. Of course if she stayed some trull-headed sister would come hunting for her and make her life as miserable as she made Siuan Sanche's. And she'd still have to follow through with the Amyrlin's orders.

For the first time in a good long while Romanda wallowed in self-pity and cried like a baby.

Siuan pretended Elaida was her hoe as she slammed it down into the soil again and again and again. Sometimes she dreamed of slamming the hoe into Elaida's head, but history had shown there wasn't much in there so Siuan was uncertain if the blow would actually kill her. They were nice dreams at any rate.

"You! And you! Come here! Now!"

Elaida squeaked and ran toward the bellowing Romanda. To her chagrin, Siuan scurried after her. The Yellow looked at them with eyes more baleful than usual, her silvery bun all but quivering with rage. Despite herself, Siuan's eyes darted in search of Elayne: Romanda didn't enjoy dirtying her hands with corporal punishment, but Elayne was quite fond of the slipper.

"We are returning to Tar Valon. There will be no time once we get there for you wash up and change, so do it now and do it fast because if I have to do it for you, none of us will arrive there happy." With that, Romanda turned her back on them and stalked off.

Elaida was already half changed and washed by the time Siuan entered their dingy hut.

"You must hurry, Siuan! What if she punishes us both for your slowness?! You must hurry!"

Siuan growled and glared and threw a boot, but when Romanda returned for them she was as fresh and clean as Elaida. Romanda seemed both grateful they had followed her instruction and disappointed she couldn't punish them on principle.

"Why are we going to Tar Valon?" She knew she shouldn't ask, but the words slipped out of Siuan's mouth.

Romanda's answer was to grab them both by an ear and drag them to the Traveling grounds.

Mat and Lan sat across from each other at a small table, untouched mulled wine between them. Mat stared so hard Lan was embarrassed to discover he wanted to shift in his seat.

"All right, Mat. I'll admit to it: once upon a time I may have been drunk. I may have also been, um, eager. Moiraine may or may not have been drunk too. We might have decided to experiment with the Warder bond. But I assure those set of circumstances only happened once."

"So you now say you didn't father Moiraine's unborn baby?"

"Yes. Nynaeve is the only woman for me. Although sometimes I can't decide if she reminds me more of Moiraine or Cadsuane when we are-"

Mat stood up abruptly. "Don't finish that thought, Lan. Please don't. I am glad we could clear the air, however." Mat didn't look glad and he still shot Lan a hateful glance as he exited the room.

There was a part of Galad, a deeply hidden part, that enjoyed doing dirty things. Bad things. Like eavesdropping on Mat and Lan. It made him feel giddy enough to giggle.

Lan was a tricky beast, as was to be expected of a man who would marry an Aes Sedai. He told Mat he and Moiraine had only had drunken sex once. But what about sober sex, eh?

Galad was planning something evil. And he liked it.

Moiraine was of the opinion that the best thing to happen to Siuan Sanche was getting thrown out of Tear. It was a horrible country. Humid, and dirty, and the people were too tall, too busty, and too musty. It was a disgusting place to be and she hated it! But Moiraine was a diplomat of the highest order even if she wasn't a Grey, and she knew how to hide her displeasure from Tear's rulers.

King Darlin and his queen Caraline offered Moiraine iced wine and cheap cheeses as way of courtesy. Moiraine nibbled out of politeness and wished for home.

"Cousin, it is a pleasure to have you here." Darlin smiled at her.

Moiraine gave him her best noblewoman twitter and took a deep draw of her wine. Flirting with Darlin was petty and foolish but she couldn't stand that face-stealing Caraline!

Caraline shot daggers at her with her eyes, but managed a smile all the same. "You look fat with child, cousin. How much further until we see the little one?"

Somehow the wine in Moiraine's cup and the pitcher beside her ended up all over Caraline's face and dress. Caraline screamed and lunged herself at Moiraine. Darlin took a step forward but the now empty pitcher managed--with a little help of Air--to get lodged over his eyes: it couldn't slip past his nose.

Moiraine couldn't convince herself that her life was in danger so she was reduced to clawing and biting at Caraline who seemed quite eager to return the favor. Darlin eventually succeeded in getting the pitcher off his head and dragging the two Damodreds apart as they hissed and spit at each other like cats. Well, Caraline hissed and spit; Moiraine could never be reduced to such antics.

After exchanging some words with the stupid couple, Moiraine left Tear for the sanity of Cairhien. She did not look forward to telling Matrim about the meeting.

My favorites. Caraline is definitely a face-stealer! I am surprised by camwalt update and happy.
