I love Verin too! That was a great scene. The bit a lot later on with her in the tents with the other AS and doing her sneaky-purple-ajah thing was one of my favorite parts too.

It seems unlikely that the Aes Sedai who discovered the Oath Rod's ability to remove the oaths were the first ones. Its possible someone from each "generation" of AS has discovered it and just not told anbody, or some variation of this atleast.

I think you're right. It's a fact that they don't share information with each other. It makes sense that some of them would sort of go off like Cadsuane without anyone knowing exactly when they've died.

 

Verin is in the perfect position to find the scraps of information that any previous Aes Sedai left behind. She's more with it than the other Browns. (Err... that's not saying much.)
