I'm glad to hear your dad is okay <3 This sunday will be the one year anniversary of my own fathers death. He died of heart failure but it was an arythmia (they think). totally unexpected. when things like this happen and it turns out okay it really makes you appreciate the time you have left with them! *hugs*

Iris 0
Thank you everybody, and I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father, Olivia. Hope your dad is still doing well, Katie. Thanks, guys. In WOT we'd say the Wheel Weaves as the WHeel wills. In Livvy Land we say To God we belong and to God we will all be returned. Ironically, my grandfather is currently in the last stages of leukemia as I'm coming upon the 1 year for my dad. He probably has about a week or so left. But it's a blessing for the family that we all get to spend this time with him and that he's lived be almost 90. I feel sorry for him though. Like every time someone hugs him or talks to him you can see it in his eyes that hes savoring it and probably wondering if it will be the last time he'll ever see and talk to this person. My dad died standing up at the kitchen table with his head in a hands looking like he was still alive and it appeared to be completely painless. I don't know which way I'd prefer to go. But it won't be my choice so whatever's best (and hopefully when I'm old and gray!) On a more positive note I'm just pass the halfway point of this pregnancy and I had my ultrasound and thank God everything is healthy with the baby. I found out the gender with my others but with this one we decided to do a surprise. And the baby didn't want to show anyways with the position that it was in. This has been my oddest but easiest pregnancy. Personally, I think its a girl and so does Gaidin 17. We'll see in October My but that was long for a post on the Random thread. Olivia 26
@ Liverella: Glad everything is okay with the baby so far Random: I went to the West Hollywood Pride parade/festival yesterday and it was loads of fun I had never been to one before. I bought a fedora there because apparently I didn't look dyke-ish enough already My face is sunburnt now though because I didn't put enough sunscreen on xD Still, it was worth it. Iris 0
Thanks Olivia Is this is the sort of fedora that you speak of? I had to do googley images search cause i didnt know (or perhaps still dont know) what a fedora is
Olivia 26
Yeah, that's it. A type of hat, though mine is black and a bit smaller than that. A lot of young gay people, both men and women, wear them - but some straight people do too. I think they look nice.
jan 14
I'm going to the Pride Festival on 28 June in my city too. I'm going to be hanging around with this group called BlankNoise who work against street harassment of women. Just ordered my T-shirt. :-)

Humphrey Bogart sure pulled it off nicely I think I could pull off a fedora... thats so really not me tho. (especially with that rancid eyeshadow) but the fedora is pink! that jives with me. A lot of gay women and men wear them out here too.
