I like when Perrin walks in Moiraine semi-nude. I don't think we get to see a nekkid Moiraine again until she goes to Rhuidean in TSR.

 

I also like when Natsuki punches Liandrin right in the mouth and backhands Rianna (iirc), and Berelain's funny intro at the very end.

I forgot how annoying Perrin was at the beginning. Wow, he kept claiming that he was just "careful" and not stupid but he really didn't get a lot that was going on in the mountains.

 

Strangely, Rand doesn't bother me as much. I'm only on chapter 6, so that may change really fast. He was so cranky and whiny but he did catch Moiraine when she passed out. *folds arms* Perrin did not.

Perrin wasn't fast enough. I'm on chapter 9.

 

I never thought of it before (because I didn't really care...) but Mo must have had some sort of weave on those women who came to her.

 

Moiraine Healed the puppies. OK, wolves aren't really "puppies" but that sounds cuter. I wonder why they let her come near, of if she forced them to stay put with the Power.

 

I like the foreshadowing going on, like when Mo mentions that powerful channelers can have their dream affect an entire city.

 

Yes, so far all my notes are Moiraine related.

 

OK and then, one of my fave things in the series, is Moiraine manipulating Perrin into doing chores for her. I just love how he knows what is happening but he still can't stop it.

I was happy about the puppies too. The fact that she just mentioned it like she was making conversation was great.

 

Also, when they all crammed into Lan's part of the log cabin... I pictured them all stuffed up next to each other and just slightly tilting their heads to each other while talking. I know this is not true but it makes me giggle to imagine.

 

Moiraine was very sweet to Min, I thought. Well, sweet for Moiraine.

 

Min seems slightly off when she talks to Perrin. I don't know, something about her character seems odd but I love "old" Min so much that she is forgiven.

Moiraine should have let people into her side of the cabin, but I guess Min counts being on the floor by the door....so she's halfway in.

I like this part from that scene:

 

Min: Let Uno take your message. He's fit; you said so. I am going after Rand.

Moiraine: ...(Speech of reasons why Min must do it) ... No one must learn even as much as that the Amyrlin Seat has received a message from me. Her life -and ours- could depend on it. You are the one who must go.

 

Moiraine protects Siuan.

Moiraine protects her own ass. And gets rid of Min! It is a win-win for her.

I was going to say that Moiraine looks after her past conquests, but I don't think Siuan was a conquest of Moiraine.

She was Siuan's bitch and everyone knows it. Except Thom.

Thom's... blinded by cowardly attraction. Maybe he will help her to learn to be a top but I don't know.
